Mountainside Cabin along The Cabot Trail #1
10/10 Excellent
"If you are looking for a cute, self contained little unit for your stay on the Cabot Trail, this is the place. It was very quiet and comfortable. The bed is okay and probably should be replaced as it seems sunken in the middle, but not a super big deal for us as we only stayed one night. The only draw back to this place is that it is about 10kms from any type of restaurant (if they are open). If you were staying here in the summer or were prepared to cook meals you could just stay at this cozy little cabin."

"A confusing check-in was made excellent by the cleaning staff. They went out of their way to facilitate our check-in. They did a beautiful job of cleaning our cabin. I never did get the TV to work during our whole vacation in Nova Scotia. Directions for using the satellite are insufficient. What input channel to the TV is used? HDMI1, 2? Followed the directions given to no avail. Wi-Fi was spotty. Beds very comfortable; towels and blankets were plentiful. We very much enjoyed our stay there. Great hot water in the shower. Excellent Tim Horton dark K cups for the Keurig. 😊 Recommended highly."

"We loved our stay at this property!! There was a LOT of space for just two of us and the outdoorsy-themed decor is spot on. The kitchen was fully equipped with a full size fridge and even a dishwasher (though it was out of order while we were there). The bed was roomy and cozy. It was nice to find streaming services on the television on a night when the weather was bad and we chose to stay in and relax. And we cannot say enough about how wonderful the hot tub was after doing the Skyline Trail in the wind and pouring rain!! We certainly needed a good hot soak!! There were bathrobes for the hot tub as well as an abundance of towels in the bathroom. (Speaking of the bathroom, there is a real water pressure problem in the shower when the renters in the other unit are using THEIR shower at the same time, with the water slowing to a bare trickle.) The spot was mostly quiet for being right on the Csbot Trail. There are two restaurants close by but most everything else is farther away. This is a nice spot from which to explore, and we'd be happy to stay again if we are ever back in the area."

"It was an upgrade for camping. The nice thing about the accommodation was that there were flush toilets and showers as well as a fully functional kitchen in the communal building. The outdoor lighting wasn’t very bright so a good bright flashlight is a must. It will help you to locate the assigned pod. Don’t bring large or a lot of luggage. There isn’t a lot of space left next to the queen-sized foam bed. Having indoor shoes is a good idea as the floor is not finished. The plug-in electric heater warmed up the space very quickly and nicely. After turning it off before going to sleep, the temperature stayed warm until getting up 7 hours later. A quick 10 min plug in brought the temperature back to the same level as the night before. Remember that this not to be like a motel room. It is meant to accommodate those who are camping. Communication with the host and his team was constant to ensure our needs were met. Good accommodations for those looking for a cozy no-frills place to spend the night."

"although the pod was small, it was comfortable. Although the kitchen was shared it was well equipped and not busy. Being a bit older not having an attached washroom was not great."
