Boathouse Cottage, Historic District, Private Pier, 1 Block to Trolley & Fort
Entire Cottage, private pier and deck, water birds & sea life, kayaking and more. Boathouse Cottage on the Bay is .01 to city gates
Our beautifully renovated Boat House/Carriage House is located on direct waterfront with ocean view of inlet and the bay/river in St Aug.property and between two National Shrines within a 10 minutes walk. The Shrine of Our Lady de la Leche at Mission de Dios is the oldest Marian Shrine in the US and was most recently elevated to a National Shrine by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Greek Orthodox National Shrine St Photios is located about 10 minutes down on St George St. Walk the Bridge of Lions which is about 10 minutes walking through the fort green and along the bay front by the horse and carriages. Trolleys and Ripley's are 1 block away. Restaurants and town 5 to 10 minute walk. Relax on the screened covered patio and watch the soldiers load the cannons. Awesome!
Located at the water’s edge, this extraordinary 1920’s home once served as a working boathouse! And while it’s maritime charm still remains, the newly updated accommodations feature all the comforts of home.
Two beautifully appointed bedrooms and a comfortable queen sized pull-out couch in the spacious Florida Room serve as your sleeping options, accompanied by two full baths with your choice of a tub or shower.
Along with the fantastic Florida Room, you’ll find a delightful screened in porch that will have you kicking back to sip a cool beverage as you enjoy the parade of seagoing vessels that pass along your view of the waterway throughout the day.
However, it is truly the majesty of waking to the spectacular sunrise and closing the day bathed in the glow of the afternoon sunset that will have you know that you have chosen the ideal location for your getaway to St. Augustine!
There are dozens of wonderful restaurants in the city, however if it is homemade that you prefer, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen and new gas BBQ grill are at the ready for you to enjoy.
You will also have access to everything from a combination gas range/electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, and dining/cooking/service ware to express your culinary expertise. The kitchen also features a washer/dryer so no need to overpack!
Our dock is perfect for those with boats. The cost is $2/foot/day for a boat. If you are bringing a boat we need to be informed when your reservation is made. You are welcome to fish off the dock, but please no cleaning fish in the house.
Native seagulls and pelicans love our private pier but they are more than happy to share it, so BYOK Bring Your Own Kayak or rent one locally. If you prefer a guided tour, there are many experts in town who want nothing more than to impart their wealth of knowledge with comprehensive tours of our marshes, waterways, and local sea life.
We have private parking for our guests so tuck away your keys and pack some comfortable shoes. Walking is a great way to get about town, with the heart of the city ten minutes away. There are also additional unique ways to traverse the cobblestone streets. You may opt to hail a romantic horse-drawn carriage or hop aboard an old fashioned trolley. The inexpensive pedi-cabs are also a fun experience.
The Castillo de San Marcos will be your neighbor to the south while in residence and is a “must see” (or hear) with it’s daily cannon firings! A day at the beach, galleries, iconic historic venues, antiquing, and plenty of shopping in the city or the outlet malls will have you ready to plan a return visit, so book now. Your warm welcome is waiting!

This was a great place to stay, close to the fort and many downtown attractions and restaurants. My only problem was the coffee maker didn't work, otherwise it was really a perfect place.
Our first vacation in 2 years. Truly incredible house on bay with spectacular dock. Although we enjoyed viewing historic buildings where we could walk to,Sitting in the screened in porch watching the sunrise, sipping coffee and listening to the cathedral bells ring, was above relaxing
This was one of the best equipped cottages I’ve stayed in. It’s in a great location on the waters edge and within walking distance of all the attractions and restaurants.
It was also very peaceful.
This place was so amazing! The house had everything we needed! The view of the Fort and being right on the water was so nice. Its close to every thing!
The kids loved it too!
We will definitely want to stay again :)
I cannot think of a more perfect place to stay when visiting St. Augustine. It had everything we could have asked for and more. We enjoyed our walks around the town but if we had never left the property we would have been happy.
The boathouse is an awesome spot to stay. The location is fabulous. The screened in porch is great for having morning coffee. My husband loved fishing off the private dock. We could walk to lots of restaurants and leave the car behind. We would totally stay here again!
Unique location, close to downtown, but quiet and waterfront with a dock.
Cabin was clean, linens were nice, view was awesome.
Management could do more with pest management, 4 roaches were in the cabin.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a panorama of breathtaking scenery that seemed to stretch the horizon. As promised, the accommodations were exactly as depicted in the photos. One of the highlights of our stay was the unrivaled proximity to downtown, allowing us to explore Saint Augustine with ease.
It was exactly as advertised. Such a quiet, beautifully decorated cottage. Fully stocked wth everything you would need for your home to run smoothly. Loved the private pier. Can walk to downtown attractions and restaurants, so close beaches. We will be back ne t year
This property is a slice of paradise. The sunrise coming up over the marshes and shining on the Fort are a breathtaking sight.
There is an abundant variety of wildlife including bald eagles.
The interior is immaculate and very well maintained.
We are definitely looking forward to returning.
Beautiful home on the water with lovely sunrises. The kitchen is well stocked with a lot of little extras like beer mugs in the fridge ready for a cold one! We enjoyed fishing off the dock and even caught a keeper snapper. The house is centrally located within walking distance to several restaurants, shopping and venues.
Love, love, love this lovely cottage in downtown historic St. Augustine, Florida. Could not be a better location. Delightfully decorated, exactly as pictures indicate. Television with all channels, streaming and easy to operate with one remote. We stayed the entire month of February. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Location, location, location. This charming renovated property is the perfect place for your stay. On the water, private dock, screened porch, everything you could want. Your next door neighbor is the Castillo de San Marco. Inside is clean and roomy. Fully stocked with all kitchen essentials.
We had the best stay at the cottage. It was fully updated with plenty of amenities. Also beautifully decorated and very quaint. We especially liked sitting on the dock enjoying the fantastic views of the water. We saw great wildlife including dolphins, manatees and osprey. Situated right next to the Fort, it was within walking distance to the heart of downtown and all the major attractions. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the future.
The dates we selected was over hurricane Helene. We watched the storm over the river. The wind was very strong uplifting a tree to fall just short of our rental. The location can’t be beat! Close enough to walk to attractions without having to fight parking. We especially enjoyed fishing from the dock.
The house is adorably decorated and immaculate. Every single thing about the house was perfect. We spent evenings sitting on the dock at the end of the pier, and it was the most relaxing time we’ve had in a long while. So easy to walk to restaurants or bars. The nightlife in St. Augustine isn’t too crazy. My favorites of the trip - seeing manatees, from the dock, the view of the fort lit up at night, and the Bridgebof Lions. Come here for the most relaxing time!
A peaceful escape, yet close to the fun of St. Augustine.
This property was just as described. It was clean and had everything you could possibly need. The location cannot be beat, everything in town is walkable and we rarely needed to use our car while we were there. When the hustle and bustle of downtown St. Augustine got to be too much, we walked back to the house, sat on the dock, and watched the birds and dolphins go by. We even saw a manatee swim by a few times. All in all, we had a fabulous time.
We loved our weeklong stay at this home. The location could not have been better. It was very comfortable and we felt like we lived there. We loved sitting in the screened in porch to watch the birds and boats going by. We were able to walk to restaurants and activities in Old St. Augustine. The trolley station is right on the corner 2 blocks down. If you are coming to this area you really need to stay here. You will be pleased.
We chose this spot for its appearance and location on water, and were pleasantly surprised by is proximity to all that Old Town has to offer. We never used our car until we checked out. The kitchen was well equipped. The place was very clean. More "basic" supplies than we expected. No drug store or decent convenience store within walking distance, but great shopping, dining and sight-seeing choices.
