Stayed here for two nights over New Year’s Eve. This is an older style motel that sits right on a busy road. The walls are somewhat thin as you do hear road noise and your neighbors. Highly recommend staying on a top floor on the backside of the motel. Obviously the pool is not heated so I did not use it but it is a super cute area and would probably be very refreshing in the summer months. You are close enough for a healthy walk over the “bridge of lions” into historic downtown or conveniently rent one of the bicycles from the motel. The motel is in a very walkable area to restaurants and bars. Would recommend staying here for an inexpensive option close to the historic downtown area.

This motel was extremely dirty, as shown in the pictures I included. One of the towels was stained, there was a small stain on the sheets, and we also found a few hairs on the bed. The floor was dirty—I walked barefoot for just a few minutes and my feet were black afterward. It felt like any cheap motel, just decorated in a cuter way. The check-in system was very quick and easy, which was a plus. We were only here for a few hours during a road trip, but if you’re planning to stay longer, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Very charming old fashioned motel. The rooms are on the smaller side but they worked for us. The pool area was great! Air conditioning was good too. We had to actually turn it way down at night.

Well, I’ve stayed here before and I find that it’s a very cute place and it’s clean but the air system in the rooms are horrible. It’s very human and wet and sticky. You feel like your hair is heavy. The air is very humid even though the air condition is on, it does not get rid of the humidity. The floor was very sticky, and it was a very uncomfortable to sleep. I can’t explain what I’m trying to say, but the air conditioning system does not get rid of the humidity in that room that is something that needs to be looked into. Other than that, it was a pretty good stay.

This was my second stay here in 6 months and I love it here!! It is so clean, beds are comfortable, amenities are great and location is perfect. There is no front desk staff, but there is someone who texts you throughout your stay to make sure you don't need anything, and this works perfectly. Highly recommend The Local

Had a great experience at The Local - came to town for a friends birthday in the area and found this location to be super convenient to everything. Check in was easy and the team was quick to respond/resolve issues. I would definitely go back again!

The property was fantastic! You check in through an app and it gives you your room and key through your phone. There is someone available to give you a physical key but we never needed one. The room was clean and super conveniently located. We ran out of toilet paper one time and all you have to do is text, and they will bring whatever you need right over! Fantastic for a girls trip!

Nice, clean motel, def loud with the street/car noise they provide ear plugs. Pool was cute and clean. The app to open the door did not work and they were prepared for it so don’t waste too much time trying it and call the “front desk” ( on the app) they will give u a code for a card key- no one in premises just online people- but very nice place.
