Got to cabin, walked in and there were people having dinner in the kitchen. They rent the place for 4 months straight and still had 2 months left.

Short Fall trip

This was only a two day trip. This is a very nice property and the staff is very friendly. I received a call the day we checked in to make sure all my questions were answered which was much appreciated. The cottages could be numbered a little clearer. It took us a little bit to find ours. The cottage usually has your name by the door, but ours had a different name, so even when we did find it, we were unsure. Overall I would stay here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was cleaned, we did find a dirty sock on the floor in the closet on one of the bedrooms. Beds were comfortable. The shower was extremely small and the shower head does not move so, makes it challenging. The view and quietness was fantastic! The sewer smell was unbearable at times from septic tank outside the bathroom window. Depending how the wind was blowing, we had to go inside from the smell.

Awesome place and property managers!

Very hard working and accommodating management people! They bend over backwards to make sure you are happy with your rental property. Very relaxing old-fashion get-away and beautiful lake views right off our deck!!

Hillers Pine Haven #2

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was excellent. Property needs alot of maintenance. Washroom smelled like urine, back door doesn't lock, none of the bedroom doors closed all the way, lots of rotted wood on the outside, sheets were dirty upon arrival. The property manager did send someone out to change the sheets after we complained. Overall the grounds looked ok, but things were falling apart, lights broken , dead plants etc. Disappointing for the money we spent.

The only issue we had was a communication difficulty both on why part and theirs regarding the boat for the cottage. Things have changed over the years and I was use to having the boat right at your dock. Evidently if you use the free boat you have to hunt it down and I was not made aware of that. Had I understood the situation I would have rented the boat with the motor. Definitely missed getting out on the lake Burt the location and the cottage were great. Enjoyed all the deer.

It is a very small cabin, but we don't mind. The shower stall is VERY small, but we manage. Could be an issue for some folks, though. The exterior lights did not work this year at night around most of the resort, so make sure to bring flashlights!

Red Canoe deserves special mention.Ravenwood Trail & Art Oehmke fish hatchery provided excellent outdoor activities during the cool, cloudy weather. Mini golf @ 19th hole & Monday flea market also fun. Beautiful paved bike trail along Hwy 70.Cottage was clean & the kitchen was well equipped for cooking .A bit small for 4 adults, deck has nice view of lake but too small for all of us to sit together. Doors to bedrooms & bathrooms very squeaky-hinges need oiling. Bunk bed also very squeaky! Eventhough cottages are very close together, it was quiet & peaceful.

Just wanted to let you know that the heating element might be going in the oven. I had it on 450 degrees to bake chicken and it took 3 hours. I think it was only at 150 or 200 degrees. Also it would be nice to have a fan included in the cabins.Thank you!!
