" Staying at the Golden Bay Hotel is all about Holdane. He's a server at the hotel restaurant, Vino Tinto. The man made our meals fabulous. Holdane went out of his way to make our experience wonderful, no, magnificent. The hotel property was good. The department store connected to it was a life saver. If you forgot something, they have it for you. The staff at the store also was great, being very patient with us as we tried to make the most of our Belize dollars and US Dollars. The food at Vino Tinto was good. Don't miss the stewed chicken. And for me, a guy who hates potato salad -- I tried theirs and it opened me up to new adventure. Good stuff. "

"Property needs some updating. Staff real friendly. No bugs. Smoke detector light kept flashing every hour or so, at 1st thought it was lightning. Breakfast cold no warming elements. Quiet. Nice view on the seaside. For the cheaper price I would probably stay again,"

"The place was a mismash of very funky furnishings. The room has plastic laminate walls. Location was quiet and the hostess was very sweet. Definately a 2 stars kind of place."

"I would 100X over recommend this place to my all my friends and family. This is a small family business. The owner Michelle is amazing. The property is clean, the air condition works very well. The property is clean. The area is safe. 7 min walk to the ferry terminal to go to Caye caulker and San Pedro. Michelle also does a cultural food tour which has food from the 4 main Belize cultures. The property is a 5 min walk to the museum which is a must see for $7usd. There is local cuisine near by a roof top restaurant and a the mid point which overlooks the water both were good eats. Although we didn’t use it the place had a nice kitchenette. "
