Clean and well-equipped apartment with a full kitchen. Food isn’t available on-site, and local options are limited with restricted opening hours, especially for breakfast. It would be great if the club offered on-site breakfast or dining. Overall, a comfortable stay.

Great place for the price. This spot is a nice alternative if you want to be away from the big all-inclusive resorts like Sandals. One thing to note: it’s located on the part of the beach where cruise ship passengers sometimes come for a few hours to rent chairs and umbrellas, so you’ll see some daytime traffic when ships are in port. The only real drawback is the small red pop-up tent bar next door. They play music through a quality JBL speaker, so you’ll definitely hear the bass lines. That said, the music is actually pretty good, so it’s manageable. And the grill next to it is worth a stop — the BBQ chicken was excellent. Inside the room, I wish the ceiling fans and lampshades had been dusted a bit better. Other than that, the property itself has a lovely exterior with beautiful mature plants and trees. There’s also a great covered outdoor eating area where you can bring back food from nearby and relax without even changing out of your swimwear. Salt Plage and Starfish (the two food and drink spots at Saboney Beach Club) are both excellent if you order smart — the chicken, pork, and shrimp dishes were all great. And the “Kiss on the Lips” frozen drink is an 11 out of 10.

Four adults stayed in Cottage 1 at Buccaneer Beach Club. We checked into a clean cottage and it was cleaned every 2nd day. Shout out to Natalie who cleaned and always had the nicest smile and kind soul. Stanley is one of the first faces we saw, he greeted us and helped with the luggage and groceries we had. Stanley set up the beach chairs, umbrellas and raked the beach. Amos kept the beautiful lush grounds pristine! Oscar was another kind personable staff at this resort. Our Cottage 1 had a large general purpose room with plenty of seating for dining and lounging. I love how the windows are reflective during the day, roll blinds on all the windows looked great as well as functional. There were plenty of dishes, dish soap and dish towels. Having a washer, dryer and hanging rack were a welcome site! Each bedroom had a king bed and private washroom. One bed was a comfortable firm, the other on the soft side. We enjoyed being feet away from the beach, security gate , foot wash and having a large outdoor space complete with tables and chair and a new bbq. Natalie hung the hammock out for us which was cozy. Check in and out was simple. The office provides ice for free, beach towels for $20USD deposit, a book exchange shelf, chip snacks for sale and helped arrange our taxi service. Dickenson Bay is a great walkable beach. Of course we had to visit the floating Tiki Bar one afternoon! The pool area was always clean and shaded nicely, a nice quiet area to get out of the sun. ***

Buccaneers is outstanding. The property and the rooms are spectacularly clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff can't do enough for you. The beach is so calm and beautiful. My iny issue is that the beach vendors have been moved from the quiet end of the beach so dining options are limited

The rooms were clean and well equipped for an apartment. WiFi was good and stable. Air conditioning was very effective and not noisy. The pool had small leaves in it which made swimming uncomfortable. Reception was efficient and polite. The exit gates the room cards did not work so a minor inconvenience as you had to buzz to get back in. The neighbour restaurant was good, although not much other choices. I would not recommend walking if on your own to some of the places mentioned on the sheet, as the roads are dark and through bush trees. Overall I enjoyed my stay and loved the beach access to a beautiful beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at Buccaneer Beach Club. It's a nice little boutique hotel with all of the amenities we wanted or needed without the crowds. It was nice having a kitchenette, while still being close to several restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice stay.
