"4 day break on Guernsey at this delightful hotel. The room was adequate with a very comfortable bed. If it was 5 star it could do with a new carpet, but it isn't so that was fine by us. It was quiet and had a pleasant small balcony. Breakfast was very good with all the usual choices and the dining was very good with a varied menu plus a well stocked bar. The best feature is the staff for whom nothing was a problem. The were personable, smiley and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay at Les Douvres."

"An all round excellent hotel, Lovely position, staff, room, food and amenities. Ample parking but the bus stop is outside the hotel providing a cheap and regular service to St, Peter Port (leave your car in the car park as the buses go almost everywhere on the island!). Good views and plenty of walks. Very helpful when our ferry was cancelled in finding us alternate accommodation when this hotel was full.. The food is good but the cakes are exceptional! A lovely hotel which we hope to return to."

"The cottage was qui9te roomy and had all the gadgets you would expect , I only saw the hosts once when i confirmed out hour of departure, the cottage was cleaned twice while we were there, very goo0d service . The instuction of getting to the property was complicated by7 roads being closed , in the end we had to ask a very helpful garage attendant where it was , an email would have helped . There was a bus stop very within 4 minute walk , a up to date timetable would have been helpful . there at least 3 pubs close by all very good , eating in St peters port is a problem with the last bus back about 7pm !! All in all a very good holiday"

"This was our second visit to Ellingham Cottages and it was as good as the first. Lovely clean spacious cottages with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We arrived early but everything was ready for us and we were quickly settled in. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel was easy to access but quiet and had a beautiful quiet garden. The swimming pool was well maintained and very secluded. Guernsey breakfasts were great and set us up for the day. Perfect setting for a quiet break, with easy access to buses (and the cycle shop delivered to the hotel direct). We had a lovely weekend and will go back."
