"Charming hotel. Staff was very nice and conversational. It felt like the real Swiss German experience, not some tourist trap. It's a pretty old building with no air conditioning, but is very charming. Breakfast is pretty basic, but the staff made an effort, even providing American style filter coffee. "Nice hotel in a convenient location very close to the train station. Clean with good air-conditioning, which was helpful as we were there during a very hot time. On a busy street with no view. We had a bit of an issue in which there was a citywide festival while we were there with a DJ stand literally underneath our window which pumped music until 2:30 AM. While we were told there was a festival in the city that weekend it was not made clear the level of disruption and noise this would create. While they eventually gave us a discount on our room, we would have stayed elsewhere had we known."
