The place is absolutely adorable and seems well stocked and organized! We didn't prepare any meals (besides eggs) so I can't speak to the kitchen tools, but it did appear to have all of the basics. It was really clean, except for the front of the vanity cupboards and the inside of the vanity drawers, which wasn't that big of a deal. We did have a few negatives: There were two plug-in air fresheners in the unit when we arrived. It was so scented, that our eyes stung most of the week (even after unplugging them immediately) and my eyes were very swollen in the morning for the first two nights we spent in the apartment. We did mention this to the owner at the end of our stay, and they said they would look into it. This next one I add only because another reviewer said that they loved the pillows. I actually had to sleep without any pillow (which I have never had to do before) because the pillows provided were incredibly thick, which puts a lot of strain on the neck if you are a stomach sleeper. My husband sleeps on his back and thought the pillows were fine. Between the excessive scent, the somewhat noisy tenant above us, and no pillow, I struggled to get a good nights sleep while staying here. Consequently, we didn't adjust to the time difference and were sleeping until around noon each day. On the evening before our last day at the apartment, we got an unexpected text from the owner saying that a contractor was coming to do some work on the small patio the following day. I inquired as to the time, and the owner responded that it would probably be between 8:30 and 9 am. I explained that we would still be sleeping and that we didn't want to be woken up. The owner said they had been on a waiting list for 120 days, and they would try to delay the contractors at a different unit as long as possible, but they didn't want to lose their opportunity to get the work done. The owner also said the work would be very quiet and that they wouldn't need to enter the unit. The workers showed up around 10:30, were much louder than the owner had let on, and they did end up needing to come inside the unit. We certainly don't mind accommodating a long awaited repair, but we would have appreciated a little more acknowledgment for the inconvenience it caused us. And honestly, as Vacation rental hosts ourselves, I certainly believe the owners should have offered us more than just a simple apology. Overall, we liked the place but probably would not stay here again.
