Duke of Normandie Hotel

Duke of Normandie Hotel

8/10 Good
"Overall our stay was good and the staff provided good service The room we had was a twin room but was a little small. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, there was a good size walk-in wardrobe cupboard and a very good walk-in shower. We were there very recently during the extremely hot weather. The fan we had did not work well and it was replaced. But the room being small and in the upper level of the outside rooms, got very hot during the day and it was difficult to cool down. In a normal summer, the room would've been much cooler, so perhaps unfair to judge. However, if the hot summers are now the trend, hotels will have to provide air conditioning as a routine. The hotel's restaurant, the Pickled Pig, does very good food, wines and beers and the staff there are excellent."

Cobo Bay Hotel

Cobo Bay Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was in a perfect position to view amazing sunsets. The room we had, that was on the ground floor was large with an extra large wet room. The air conditioning was the best we’d ever experienced in a hotel room. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options and was unlimited. We borrowed beach towels from reception for free. The parking was at the back of the property but easy to find. The room was made up for us every day and stocked up with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water when ever we ran out."

The Peninsula Hotel

The Peninsula Hotel

8/10 Good
"Excellent hotel with 2 minor problems. The room key arrangements are great for families but not for a couple of adults. The 3rd floor has little ventilation and is too hot at night. Window opening is restricted and so a good night's sleep is not to be had."
