Good value for money hotel, room was comfortable and spacious, breakfast was really good. Convenient location not too far to walk to bus station, town and sea front.
Excellent hosts. Delicious breakfast. Close to beach.

For a 2 star hotel it was lovely the staff and service was spot on. The breakfast was really nice, the bed was incredibly comfortable. With alittle tlc to the car park, the furniture in the rooms and the outside sign itself it can easily be a 3 star !

Service and facilities very good, staff friendly and cleanliness excellent, only negative which really isn't a biggy was room very dated décor and furniture, apart from that excellent, breakfast was fantastic, easy walk to town centre, would definitely recommend and would stay again.
The hotel was easy to get to by bus but also walking distance from the centre of town. The area was quiet, the staff was helpful and polite and the room was clean. Altogether a pleasant stay, I would go back to hotel Talana on my next visit to Jersey.
Clean and spacious room with lovely big bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was great and service excellent. Value for money was very good. Reception were friendly and welcoming even though we didnt arrive until nearly 10pm.

Excellent Value
Absolutely immaculately kept. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is dated, but this is reflected in the price.
There are also facilities like a bar, swimming pool and pool table :-)
Hearty breakfast with friendly staff. We stayed 7 nights and would have liked a bit more variation/ choices eg fresh fruit/ porridge/ yoghurt.
Small private pool, nice for an evening swim.
Decor is a bit dated but all facilities worked as they should.
On the bus route 2 with a few convenience stores close by.
Nice big room, big comfortable bed and good sized tv. Lovely breakfast and great service from Dee and James. Although the hotel is dated it has been really well looked after and run by Dee and James, its a shame the buildings owners wont invest in the upkeep and it is closing. We would stay again if it were possible to do so. Good luck Dee and James!
Had a 4 night stay to attend a friend’s wedding. Very clean tidy. Breakfast served 8.30 to 9.30, although agreed to starting a few minutes earlier so that we could make at a 9am meeting. Lots of steps and no lift. 20 minute walk into centre of St Helier.
Group of friends on a short break. Rooms were lovely and clean and comfortable. Furniture could be classed as outdated, but we thought this added a certain charm to the rooms. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and we enjoyed this every morning.
To walk into the centre of St Helier was a comfortable 10-to-15-minute walk and mostly flat. The walk to the beak from the hotel about 10 minutes. My friends in the next bedroom felt that the twin bed mattresses both needed to be replaced as they both felt a spring pushing through. We enjoyed our stay at the Talana and would recommend.

Clean room with comfortable bed
Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Room was clean with comfortable bed. Sink tap and showerhead leaking but didnt affect performance. Very small tv but we didn't come to Jersey to watch tv. Plenty of tea/coffee in room.
Breakfast was fine.
Free wifi was only available in reception and dining area, not in room.
Hotel would benefit from an upgrade as it is rather dated and tired although the location was on number 2 bus route with St Helier, beach and local area bars/restaurants all easily walkable

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Amenities
Budget hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and hot shower.
Staff were friendly, but had little or no local knowledge, which was disappointing after my data roaming had cost £10 in the first hour of arriving on the island, and the wifi was difficult to find, even in the areas where it was supposed to be available.
There was a lot of noise during the night from the workers who seemed to be accommodated in the building (walking, and loud voices).
Recommendations:
- take earplugs.
- research places to eat and drink nearby before you get there.
- buy a pay as you go data SIM card for you phone when you get there - an Airtel Vodaphone one cost £5 for 5Gb.
- try The White Horse for delicious food and drink at à competitive price.
- there’s great food and service at Moitas on the seafront - it’s well worth the money
- great freshly prepared food at Thai Smile
- spend a day at the zoo - it’s fantastic and so tranquil - you can feel so close to the animals, and the cafe serves lovely food.
- use the buses… they’re incredibly cheap! £2.25 per ride, or buy a pass for several days. The number 2 bus passes the Hotel Talana.
