"Superb pub and BnB just outside of Ventnor. The staff were awesome, and the bed and room were really comfortable. The whole trio of Islander pubs / BnB’s on the Isle of Wight, which includes the Buddle, are a real treat to stay in, all of them are superbly well done and extremely welcoming. "

"The Prince of Wales is immediately opposite the entrance to Osborne House, which was the purpose of our visit. Also very close to East Cowes ferry terminal. Very helpful and welcoming staff, and a good menu for dinner. Only negative was rather loud live music, but being Saturday night that wasn't too surprising, Overall very happy with this place, and would happily return."

"Quite a quirky property. Our room was large with a comfy bed and plenty of storage. Large modern bathroom. Coffee machine, kettle, iron and hairdryer. The staff are really friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is at the Wheatsheaf, a short strole across the square. On the ground floor of the hotel is a Thai restaurant, Thai by Ja, serving the most delicious food. I can highly recommend it. The hotel is close to shops, restaurants, pubs and the bus station, with buses to take you all over the island. Rooms are on second and third floors and there is no lift. "

Most Enjoyable

"There were 2 of us and a dog . We had a really happy time .Sharon greeted us ,and she had left us an abundance of goodies which was so kind . The mobile home was immaculate and spacious with the perfect view towards the sea. The walks from there were ideal for dog walkers .We were able to completely relax . We were surprised and thrilled to hear the cuckoo .We had a visiting pheasant and red squirrel , and some vigilant crows too . Surround birdsong ! Thank you Sharon ."

"Decided to take a short stay while on a larger vacation from the states. Andy and Lisa were great in communication. Property was just as they indicated. Next time we are on the Isle of Wight we will definitely be heading that way again."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely little family run B&B. The historic property has been renovated to a high standard and the hosts were extremely friendly and thoughtful. As we did not have a car, the location was also excellent, being close to restaurants and the main bus hub, but away from traffic noise. Would definitely recommend."

Clean and lovely place

"Really clean and spacious caravan, very pretty setting. The only mark down on cleanliness was for the pool and changing areas, it was a nice pool but there wasn't really anywhere to change and leave stuff, and the general changing area/ toilets could've done with more regular cleaning. The caravan and everywhere else was very clean though, we had a lovely stay and would return."

"Lovely hostess (Pauline) very welcoming and helpful suggesting places to eat, all of which were excellent with regard to food & atmosphere. The location of the Barn is very central and nowhere on the island is more than 45 minutes away (traffic permitting). Highly recommended!"
