The property is just minutes away from the sensational and historic town of Stamford, a popular location for the filming of a number of TV shows, including an adaptation of George Eliot’s ’Middlemarch’. With a wonderfully cosy open fire, large enclosed garden, and all the creature comforts you could want, you are well catered for whatever time of year you choose to visit. This lovely little house is dog friendly and has a footpath that passes directly outside, taking you out across the local fields where you can enjoy the peace and quiet or spot the local wildlife. A very comfortable cottage.

A very comfortable cottage. Excellent enclosed garden if you have a dog and great walks within 200 yards of the cottage to the 'deeps' or beyond to at least two longer distance paths. Stamford is ten minutes away and if yoir visiting family in the area its a great base with good road links.We had our break at half term (February) the cottage is well heated with a log burning fire!....we bought extra logs from Morrisons in Stamford (about £8 a bag).Bob and Sarah provided a great welcome pack which was much appreciated. We would recommend this cottage and would return in the future.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy

Would not stay here again

Front door is 5 yards from busy A43. Contacted owner for key code Friday am for Friday stay did not reply till 14.21 Sunday. Builders next door Hammering just after 7 Saturday and Monday. Cover on front bed filthy. Toilet seat not attached correctly. No logs provided for log burner or tools. Welcome pack not as advertised no wine no milk no eggs no crisps small loaf. Outside area no parasols cushions left outside dirty and cigarette burn, and a broken chair. Broken glass in cupboard. Very noisy with road noise. Someone else's shoes in bottom drawer of chest on landing. Took photos of all these issues. Would not stay here again was not worth the money I paid. Got the key code by ringing cottages.com who said they provide code 2 weeks before stay. But Vrbo never pass it on.
