Cabin #6 - Laurel Haven | 0 Bed, 1 Bath
CABIN #6 "LAUREL HAVEN" is just off the beaten path and slightly more secluded due to the heavily wooded area that surrounds this particular cabin. Laurel Haven is named after the distinctive pink and white flower called Mountain Laurel. It is the most exquisite of all Native American shrubs and Cabin #6 is encompassed by its beauty. It bursts into full bloom in mid June with its subtle fragrance and soft, pastel yet vivid color as it contrasts with the darker colors of the forest. This stunning view continually attracts the attention of travelers and tourists. What a treat to be able open your eyes to such a gentle and delicate vision without even leaving your cabin making it truly a LAUREL HAVEN!

Great Anniversary Weekend
I have been wanting to stay at Lydia Mountain for some time. I was thrilled to finally be able to and it didn’t disappoint. The cabin was perfect for a couple. We enjoyed our stay so much we are coming back for Mother’s Day but staying at the lodge this time.

Fantastic getaway
We very much enjoyed our cabin stay at Laurel Haven. It was tucked away beautifully in the trees; it contained all we needed; rocking chairs on the porch were perfect on the rainy day; the new restaurant managers were friendly and the food was great and we felt very welcomed. We will return and tell our friends about the place!

Laurel Haven
Was an awesome experience!! Only issue we had was when we got there our code to get in the cabin wouldn’t work. We went to the lodge and finally found an after hours number to call and finally got a code to open the cabin door. Oh and evidently the hot water heater isn’t very big. You better shower fast!!

Another visit to the Haven
Hello,
I typically don't write reviews, but I thought you would be interested to hear this.
We have been going to Laurel Haven for something like 5-7 years now, once a year. The location is great, and serene. Since our last visit, and times past we noticed that the cabin was especially clean this time -- which is nice.
It was a surprise to me on my last day, that I scanned the checkout procedure. I find it rather problematic and a waste of my time that the customer would not only have to wash the dishes, but be the arbiter in cleanliness standards and put away the cleaned dishes. We all understand that dishwashers don't always quite cut it.
In addition to that, the futon support is thoroughly broken. You can only sit on it in certain spots, otherwise your butt ends up next to the floor. And for years running now, the bed mattress springs(?) are broken on the edge closest to the bathroom. This renders about 1/4th of the bed unusable, otherwise your just rolling off the bed.
Considering that the cost has increased so substantially and the reasons listed above, we are hesitating returning to Lydia for future events.
Thanks,
Ben
