Our stay was peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. Great to have access to go to skyline drive or head into town for a little antique shopping and a bite to eat.

Beautiful location
A beautiful location way off the beaten path. Close to skyline drive. Very clean , property was as listed..no hidden surprises. The reading nook was perfect and you can’t beat a babbling brook right off your porch. Didn't love the added fees, but maybe all the properties have them.

Beautiful location.
Very nice accommodations. Needs more plates and dish towels. Had only 2dinner plates. One thin dish towel and a used sponge to wash dishes. That should be remedied since there is not a dishwasher. Also, only one face towel.

nice but could of been better
To start I must say the cabin was nice and the creek was awesome! Now things we had issues with were the lighting in the LR was dark. No overhead light. Also fridge ice machine does not work nor the microwave light worked. They only gave us 2 towels and 2 washcloths for 5 day stay, they did bring us more. Also there was no outside trash can to dump the trash from inside. I messaged the owner and they they said just message us, well that should have been mentioned on a check in sheet on the table and then there were no extra trash bags!. They had to bring those. We felt the kitchen could have been outfitted better.....only 3 plates, 2 tall glasses, and one steak knife. I think the owner needs to pop in and see the cabin every so often. Also some end tables in the LR would be nice so you dont have to put you drinks on the floor.

Amazing location!
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We love remote locations so this cabin a home run for sure! We were close to the NP which made easy access for hiking. We almost preferred not to leave the cabin to go hiking because the quiet solitude location with active stream bubbling was a treasure for sure! If you like to get away from people, and-still be close to the park this is a perfect location. We didn’t want to leave after spending 3 nights here.’

Beautiful Location
Wonderful little log cabin on a creek that sings to you all day and night long. Deer - including a baby fawn - came by our porch, where we spent every happy hour outside. Built a couple nice fires in the fire pit outside and so enjoyed the peace and quiet. Kitchen is fine. Great location and close to the entry to the Shenandoah National Park, where we did lots of hiking. Not appropriate if you have any mobility issues and the stairs in the middle of the night are a little tricky, but we really spent most of our time out on the decks, which are terrific.

Anniversary retreat
This was a beautiful place in a secluded nature spot by the river "run". We enjoyed the sounds of the song birds and water rushing by as we sat on the comfort of the covered deck watching the butterflies and birds. It was a great "unplug" time to relax in a beautiful location. The photos represent the space very well.

Peaceful Retreat
Our favorite part was the creek; very relaxing. The location was close enough to several towns and activities, but in a peaceful setting. On the cleanliness, overall the cabin was clean, except for the oven and toaster. Even though we didn’t use either they were dirty; especially the oven. It smelled like old grease and we noticed it as soon as we entered the kitchen. But we had a very enjoyable time and hope to stay at the cabin again.

We stopped here as a halfway point after dropping daughter off at college. The cabin and location are perfect for resting and enjoying nature. Only regret was the shortness of our stay. Beautiful cabin and wonderful surroundings.

Great value
The log cabin is totally private. The only other sign of human activity was a distant light we could see through the woods at night. Other than that, there was only the sightings and sounds of nature. We were there only one evening and morning, but during that time we saw an egret fishing for its breakfast, squirrels playing, butterflies, birds and the babbling brook. It was so very relaxing sitting on the deck, drinking our morning coffee and listening to and watching the water rushing over the rocks.
