Overall, we liked the property. The house was private and the layout of the house provided plenty of space for our family. I wanted to call out that we have a large van and the driveway and the single lane tunnel to get to the property created some nervous moments.
The house is beautiful and clean with plenty of dishes for everyone. My only complaint was not having any window shades. We stay up late and it gets very bright early without windo treatments of any kind. It also smells like sewage when water is used. Possibly a septic issue for sure. I chased us back inside. The driveway is also very steep and all gravel until the top, I recommend a running start lol. Overall it's a nice place and I'd come back.
This location is the perfect property for a group of friends or a big family that really enjoy the seclusion and beauty of the RRG. The photos do not do it justice. Not far from the hustle and bustle of the Natural Bridge Area, but close enough to visit easy. Many awesome, less traveled trails nearby give access to places where you can hike in peace without bunches of other folks. This property also gives access to Raven Rock Trail, which won’t be on purchased maps. The only trailhead is here on the private land. It is a moderate hike but not very hard and the view on the Rock is one of the best in the entire area. It is one of the only places you can watch both the sunset and the sunrise over the gorge. And then after enjoying all this nature, such comfort to come back to at the cabin. The porch is huge, the loft has two side, both with a queen mattress, AND a hole over the 3rd floor room covered with web netting. One of my kids made a nest and slept in it like a hammock. This was not shown in the photos so a very cool surprise. All the separate spaces and extra kitchen area was perfect. All we could need in terms of cookware and dishes and towels. The three bathrooms were huge and all had double sinks. Views from all the windows beautiful. But those windows really do need some curtains. Driveway steep but doable with front wheel drive. There were a lot of large rolling rocks that did not help traction. My RAV4 was fine, my friend’s Toyota Sienna struggled.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Will not be booking with this management company again
Upon arrival to the house, I called the office to see about getting into the house and Debby was very rude, interrupting me constantly while I was trying to talk with her, would not listen to me about the pin in the email taking me straight to the house and repeatedly told me I did get the email and I just didn't follow instructions and I should not even been able to get to the house. Even after explaining what I could she just kept insisting, I did not follow directions. She let me know I was so lucky that there was a code and we did get into the house. We were greeted by 3 large bags of trash that had been there long enough to make the place smell rancid. The man that came to remove the trash was very nice and let us know they were having problems with the web communication and things going through correctly. Go figure! There was also trash on the back porch that was not removed and something got into it and strung it all over so I had to spend more time calling the office and coordinating for that to be removed so we didn't get blamed/charged for it.
The ad tells you there is well water so to bring drinking water but it should say to also plan very quick showers because the shower running will smell up the whole floor, it smelled like stool due to the high iron and mineral content of the water. So you will need water for everything and the windows open to air out the smell.
The location was ok, after coming and exploring the area, there are way better options.
