The house is so nice!! It was rainy, so the driveway was difficult to get up for our cars; however, we managed it and got a lot of laughs! We were able to relax and celebrate. I highly recommend!
This beautiful clean cabin in the woods had plenty of space for my sister and her family and my family (12 of us in total) to enjoy meals, play games on rainy days, soak in the hot tub, play billiards, and enjoy spending time with one another while still being close to the Red River Gorge hiking and underground kayaking. We will consider coming back again in the future.
We had 2 families stay for 2 nights! Total of 8 people. Everyone had their own bed. The cabin was very easy to check into and we had plenty of space to spread out. We asked for a couple more skillets and they promptly brought them over! We played games, watched movies, sat by fire pit and soaked in hot tub! Very nice cabin!!
My family really enjoyed the cabin and solitude. Cabin was very clean and quiet. Check in was simple. Will definitely return again.
One note however, once i booked, VRBO stated that the address was nada tunnel road and the owner stated address was lower hatcher creek road in stanton, which was 23 miles apart. VRBO has the incorrect address information. In any case, we enjoyed the cabin and would recommend it to others.
This place was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space that kept the 11 of us from feeling crowded. It was clean and well equipped. Location was close enough to all the attractions we went to. Agree with other guest that WIFI would have been nice, but also liked that our teens could not be on their phones and had to socialize with each other. The only thing I suggest is having check out instructions in a hard copy form at location instead of expecting guests to print out and bring along. If they accidentally leave at home they have to leave location to access WIFI....Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
Beautiful house/ cabin. Very clean and well supplied. We were a family group of 6 adults and 4 kids. Plenty roomy although another bathroom would have been helpful. New sectionals on both levels were very nice. Nothing looked old and when out. We did have an issue with the clothes washer not working. The drain in one of the shower/ tubs needed a small stone to keep it open. Overall loved this cabin and would definitely book it again!!
Overall our group had a great experience at this property.
A few minor issues were encountered but nothing major.
It would be nice to have internet service and better cell service, but this didn't raise any complaints from the group. We could make calls after walking a short distance down the driveway. We had a group of 13 and had plenty of room. This property was very secluded. The road became a private drive just past the driveway.
Overall the property was in good condition, clean and reasonaby well maintained. Kitchen was well equipped. At least two mattresses were sagging and very uncomfortable. The deck was nice but needs minor repair and neefs stairs from the main floor to the fire pit area. There is no hand rail on the basement stairs (code violation). Overall our stay was very good but will choose a different property next time.
The property was as pictured. The only issues we had were it seemed understocked on things you would normally find in a "nicer" rental. No hand towels or hand soap in one of the bathrooms. Not enough trash bags. The cabin can hold 10+ people, but we only had a few trash bags. We used those up the first 24 hours. The sofa had stains on it. Those were minor things, but all else, it was a perfects size for our family.
The cabin was nice. Quiet location, nice rooms and beds were very comfortable. But we left after only 1 night. The water system would not work or seldom at best. We had no water for showers and had to use buckets of water from hot tub in order to flush toilets. Being as there was no wifi or cell service we had to drive about 3 miles from property each time we had to communicate with management. They did send someone to fix issue but were not successful at it. They did however understand and gave us a full refund of our payment.
Good. Property was a great location, nicely, secluded, and very clean, great fire pit, pictures accurately reflected the rooms and design of the cabin. The bad. there is a section of the lower back deck that is a tripping hazard where a structural member has settled, that should be fixed immediately. The kitchen plumbing needs help, a washer in the faucet would alleviate the continual dripping, a strainer in the kitchen sinks would solve any backup issues, the coffee maker needs to be replaced, as it malfunctions, the knives that are on the counter in the case. are the dullest knives I’ve ever used. There is a sharpening rod, but it didn’t resolve the problem.A little TLC would make this an absolute 5 star property!
We really enjoyed our stay at Eagle View! The place was spacious and clean. We had 12 adults who stayed. A few things could have made it better/easier such as mirrors in the bedrooms since there are only 2 bathrooms. The loft and open basement bedroom were a bit on the loud side with having no doors to allow to keep noise down. There is no cell service or wifi (as noted in the listing) and that only presented an issue when needing to access phones to pull directions, since none of us are from the area, but we found that once we left the property we could get service for maps. (No service for WhatsApp either.)
Owners were very accomodating when we needed additional chinaware and mugs and sent it the next morning with an additional coffee pot as well to ensure that everyone could have their morning coffee.
A few appliances /fixtures show some heavy wear and tear from renters, but hopefully owners can address these in the "off season" because it really is a beautiful property. We didn't use the hot tub or fire pit, but appreciated having them available.
Absolutely would rent the property again.
We rented this for our nephews wedding. Had 12 of us. Had plenty of room for all of us. Comfortable beds and loved the cabin, firepit and extra room to spread out. Hot tub was a plus. Our only issue was one of the vehicles had trouble getting up the steep driveway up to the cabin. They decided to just park and bottom area. It worked out that way. Would definitely rent this place again.
The property was clean and spacious. We had plenty of room for 10 people. The gravel road getting there was a bit rough with plenty of ruts and potholes. A smaller vehicle will have a difficult time navigating and not bottoming out. But the property itself was great!

Good, but had to clean hair from tubs to get them to drain. Sales agent come on day before we were to ck out.
Stayed with a group of friends. Spacious house with plenty to do. Absolutely no cell service on verizon, att or tmobile and no wifi. Deck needs work on the underside and there was minor inconveniences like broken mini blinds and lamps without a switch. Other than that, you were given trash bags, dish detergent and laundry soap *we didnt use it*. Nice cabin to get away from it all if the small stuff doesnt bother you.
