Tiny Cabin At The Pond
Welcome to peace and quiet! If seclusion is what you're searching for, then you have found the place! Located on a hobby farm beside of a stocked fishing pond, it's as much of a destination as it is an accommodation. The closest neighbors are 3 friendly donkeys that love to greet guests at the fence for attention and ear rubs. Fishing poles and donkey treats are provided to round out your stay. We're 20 scenic minutes to Slade or Stanton and 25 to Mount Sterling.
It's a small space with plenty of room outside to stretch your legs. A large deck spans between the cabin and edge of the water, with a fire pit close by. The bedroom features a full-size bed, and there is a comfy full-size futon in the living room. The bathroom has an oversized shower and toilet; the only sink in the space is in the kitchen, just outside the bathroom door.

Our host helped prepare for our arrival with great directions and instructions for the rental. We experienced a problem with hot water and the host was quick to respond, so this didn't negatively impact our experience. The cabin is well cared for and clean. It's week equipped with everything you could need (the microwave also functions as an oven).

The cabin was perfect - very clean, maintained and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the deck and pond right outside the door. Loved feeding the donkeys. We will definitely come back and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay after a day hiking at RRG.

It is a small shed turned into a one bedroom cabin.
The pond is nice, the donkeys are cute but the surrounding area leaves a little to be desired.

We loved our stay here! The property is beautiful and so peaceful. Getting to feed the donkeys was so fun and our son loved fishing from the pond every morning and night. Martin is such a kind host. We loved the evening visits from the local neighbors dog Frosty. The deck was such a nice touch for enjoying a cup of coffee in the mornings and having the lights pop on in the evenings made for a picture perfect ambiance of relaxation. We look forward to staying again in the future!

This place is absolutely magical. Donkeys to feed treats, a big fluffy white dog who often came to visit and hungry fish in the pond. My granddaughter caught her very first fish ever here (as well as my daughter). We brought an inflatable kayak that was used on the pond and my granddaughter even went swimming. In the evening we'd sit out on the deck that had the nicest little lights hung and we'd look out over the pond where the fountain also had lights. The tiny cabin does not feel tiny at all. Had everything you could possibly need. Communication with the host was easy and responded quickly. I highly recommend this wonderful property.
(Should you decide to stay at this little paradise it is so worth the drive into town to have breakfast at Bruen's restaurant.)

I had decided to book a little getaway for the weekend for mine and my husband’s 1 year wedding anniversary. I stumbled upon this property on Vrbo and the pictures looked so relaxing and cozy. Boy was I right! Martin did such a good job with communicating with us the entire time, ensuring us how to exactly get to the property and making us feel very welcomed. Once we arrived to the property we were blown away with how cute this land was! It was decorated with pumpkins to give it that fall look. When we entered the cabin was very organized and clean and just had a homie vibe to it. There were some sweet donkeys on site and we were able to feed them because there was a jar of treats in the cabin! There were also fishing poles provided so we were able to fish. The cabin came with everything you need ex: Keurig, complimentary coffee AND hot chocolate pods, the cutest s’mores treat bags, utensils, hot plates etc. the pond was so calming and cozy. The furniture on the deck was amazing. The fish were biting and we were able to catch 13 fish! Martin also sent us a message with instructions and recommendations which was so great! Martin really thought of everything when it comes to this rental. If your looking for a cute getaway look no further and book this rental! I also forgot a few of my items and Martin was so sweet and messaged me saying he would ship me my items in the mail back to me! Such a honest and sweet family! We will definitely be back! Don’t pass this one up!
