"Parking was convenient and the bedrooms were a good size. It was clean, with the exception of some previous doggy nose art on the windows and back doors. The showers were slick so bring a shower mat! The water pressure in the shower wasn’t the greatest and the hot water didn’t get as hot as I would have liked. Has a nice thermostat, but had to Google to figure out how to use it. Lastly, the tv in the primary bedroom wouldn’t work and it came on with the outside tv, so just didn’t use it. Also, no tvs in the other bedrooms. And the tv in the living room requires a streaming account which everyone doesn’t have. Overall, it was a good, clean place and certainly was helpful to me and my family while we dealt with house flooding issues. "

Lakefront Getaway w/ Porch in Athens Area!

"This was an okay experience! We wanted a place where we could bring our pup and stay with family for a wedding in the area. The lake was a bonus for our dog as he loves the water. The good parts of this location: great size family room, lots of water boats to enjoy the lake, big primary bathroom, and the room by room AC units blast really cold. But there were a few things that stood out. Firstly, the surrounding area is pretty tough. Most of the houses have trash in the yards and it’s not the best drive in. One big concern with neighbors is that they had two pit bull mixes free roaming that chased my dog down more than once. It made me anxious to take him out knowing I didn’t know how those dogs would react to him. They also chased our car in and out on the drive which was nerve wracking, as we didn’t want to hit them. The house was pretty clean minus a few things — we smelled remnants of pee on one of the couches, and my mother in law found dog pee dried up in the bathroom. We understand this is a pet friendly location and it comes with its quirks, but pee is a lot different than some pet hair. The last thing is that it wasn’t clear in the listing that the lake area was shared, which wasn’t a huge deal, but changed the level of privacy. I don’t think this will be our first choice to stay in next time, but it’s a decent deal do the price and amount of people it sleeps!"

"This was a perfect place for our quick trip to Athens without breaking the bank! We so enjoyed the chickens and the fire pit! These two are wonderful hosts with some really cool cats! Will stay again for sure!"
