Peaceful Mountain Getaway - Dog Considered - Close to Ski Area - Quiet Location

Come spend some time at our 3 bedroom duplex for some Rocky Mountain R&R. This cozy duplex sits on the mountain near the Steamboat Ski Area and 1 well behaved dog is allowed to come join you for your vacation. This home is the perfect combination of space for your family, location near the ski area (about 1 mi) and affordability.

Enter to a dining room and a kitchen with newer appliances. Also on this level you will find a bedroom with Queen bed and attached bathroom with walk-in shower. Head downstairs to the living area with leather furnishings and gas fireplace. Upstairs you will find 2 comfortable bedrooms and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. One bedroom upstairs has a King bed and the other is perfect for the kids with a set of twin bunk beds.

Outside, in the summertime, you will find a nice patio area with outdoor seating and a BBQ grill. The home sits on a peaceful area of the mountain and you can let your stress melt away. There is space in the driveway for 2 vehicles. The Steamboat Ski Area is about 1 mile away, a quick drive to either of the free parking lots (The Knoll or Meadows).

Nice location in Steamboat springs

This location was perfect. Close to downtown and also fishing and hiking spots. House was comfortable with well stocked kitchen supplies. Nice grill and outside table. Would have liked the floors to have been washed before checking in but otherwise pretty clean.

Great neighborhood, very convenient for skiing

Family of 4 with adult children. Comfortable home. Great location. We drove about 5 minutes (no traffic) to free Meadows lot parking. Took free, quick shuttle to bottom of mountain. Very short lines to gondola even at peak times. About 8 min drive into Steamboat Springs town.

Perfect place for hitting the slopes

The duplex had everything we needed. It was a few minutes drive to the slopes and worked perfectly for the 4 of us.

Mountain getaway

Overall we had a great stay! The hosts provided all the basics and everything we needed to cook in the kitchen and be comfortable in the home. The location and views were really nice too! It’s one of the few places that accommodates dogs. However, the price is pretty expensive for how outdated the property is. I would stay there again for a lesser cost!

Great location!

The property was in a great location for access to mountain. Also had a great little park a few houses away where our dog could run. The management company was easy to work with and the property was clean. My only issue was the space was a little odd. Tiny (but well equipped)kitchen and dining area. The bathrooms were newly remodeled with great showers. The space worked ok for us with 3 adults but it would be tight with more people.

Great location and dog friendly

Great communication with property manager. Very helpful and gave info on the weather and websites to check for travel issues. The half duplex was as advertised. We had most of what we needed in the kitchen to make thanksgiving dinner. Bought some foil and bags and had brought all of our own cooking spices etc. enough space for our family of 4 adults and our dog. Easy care floors and dog towels provided to wipe wet paws from the snow. Heating was a little challenging when we first arrived as it was during a blizzard and set to 60. The heater is on the lower level so it took a bit of time to warm the upstairs bedrooms. It’s like a tri-level with the living room at the base level. Bathroom heaters helped some. After a full day we were all very comfortable on all the floors. We enjoyed our stay and it was convenient location to get to skiing and downtown. Would recommend!!

Dog Friendly Duplex

Nice small place. Bathrooms are nicely updated. Three bedrooms, two nice beds and a set of bunkbeds. Kitchen and dining room are small, family room is nice. It's a duplex and about 1/3 of the footprint. Washer and dryer in the basement. About a half mile to base village. Walkable if you don't mind no sidewalks. couple hundred yards to bus stop.

Peaceful

Generally comfortable for 5 adults, a 5-year-old, and a dog. Inside dining was tight for this group but the patio was very nice for al fresco dinners. One caveat— the stairs to two of the bedrooms and the second bath are narrow and the flooring is a bit slick. We were careful and the dog learned to be.

Quick Getaway

The property was very clean. The mattresses were very comfortable which is a rarity in my experience at vacation rentals. The property is located away from downtown which I liked but was not far from downtown Steamboat Springs. There were multiple places to eat that were within walking distance from the place. Somehow I missed in the listing that the unit is an attached duplex but that wasn’t really an issue. It served as a good base for our activities.

Steamboat getaway

An older property, well maintained and equipped. Convenient to the lifts but car is necessary. The bus is close but too far to walk in ski boots, it’s a real pity they don’t swing by this road. You could rent a locker and change boots at the base. Lovely alpenglow sunsets in the valley from the living room window.

FUN ski trip

This property is located just a short distance from the ski mountain with easy accessibility . We had 6 people ( 4 adults , 2 teens ) . The beds and baths were adequate for our group . The kitchen is small but functional . The only real challenge was the table for 4 could not accommodate our group of 6, but otherwise all was good . The shower and tub have been updated but lots of cabinets are outdated . Overall we enjoyed our stay and the hosts were easy to communicate with which is always nice.

Nice stay

Beautiful location, comfy beds. Property management people were friendly, responsive, and helpful, which was so appreciated. We like staying up on the hill where it’s quiet and picturesque. Check with the property owner if you plan to cook in the kitchen to see if they have what you need. Kitchen could use some more amenities like a pasta strainer, blender, serving utensils etc.
