"This home was very unique and filled with charm! We loved learning the history of Haines Shoes and the history of the Shoe House. We found the home to have all the comforts of home away from home. The home is decorated beautifully, very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the family room is wonderful for relaxing in the evening. We did not have time for the hot tub and fire pit but hope to the next time we visit."

I guess this depends on what you define as a "short walk." "Overall this house was very nice. There is only 1 parking spot so if you are traveling with friends/family. One can park near the house the others will park in a gravel lot close by. The roads are very tight and a lot of the roads are one-way so make sure you pay attention to the signs.
