"Just to summarize: one of the nicest smaller city hotels I have visited in years, clean, crisp, attentive service, very nice and spacious rooms, free coffee, cake and warm snacks in the afternoon, big breakfast, fantastic waterfront location, walking distance to downtown. "

"It is a lovely hotel with all its spa facilities. Room was very comfortable. Staff very helpful. However, it does not have a central bar area where you can just relax with a drink. I will stay there again next week but I will be looking for another option in the Friesland area."

"I stayed 2 nights at this hotel while my husband and I visited Papenburg. The staff were professional and helpful. The hotel itself is austere but clean and bright. When I was there, the hotel's clientele were mostly older customers and their adult children.The hotel had a calm atmosphere and there was little to no noise on my floor. The rooms were a good size and had a ton of outlets and USB ports to charge your phone. The only thing that I didn't like about my room was the mattress. I found it to be very hard. The best aspect of my stay was the breakfast. So much food and non-dairy milk for the ceral. I just loved it! "

"Good location, very good rooms with incl. breakfast, great value and a great restaurant with local food at modest prices which was a real bonus. Whether using this hotel as a base for local exploration or as an overnight stop this is a real find. "

"The room was clean but a little basic. The reason I can't give this hotel a higher score is because it was near two or three bars, and it was very noisy. People coming in to the hotel at 2 am very noisy. It's kind of funny because one of the free accessories in the room where earplugs. I am thinking that the manager of the place is aware of this noise issue and the rooms are definitely not sound-proofed but if you're looking for a quick stay and are willing to wear earplugs to sleep, then I can recommend this place. However, I would not return here."
