My wife and I were greeted by Brian who helped us with our luggage from the car park to Hazel-Nut cottage. Being the wrong side of seventy was very much appreciated. Brian gave us a very comprehensive brief of the layout and amenities, also a very detailed joining folder which we used considerably very useful for our successful stay at the cottage. "This is a basic hotel. It's clean, which is always appreciated, but if you want your room cleaned during your stay, there's an upcharge. The rooms are extremely tight. I booked two twins so that I would have some place to open my luggage. There are no closets and there isn't a safe. Coffee/tea are available for a fee. The bed was comfortable. The staff was present, but not proactive. This is the best of no-frills. All of that being said, it's a great location with easy access to cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. It's about a 15-20 minute ride into Oxford Center and the bus stop is just a short 3 minute walk away. With frequent buses and a daily bus pass, it's a much more affordable option than staying in Oxford proper."

"I stayed at this hotel 4yrs. ago & the improvements are amazing. Looks as though it has had a complete overhaul. Immaculate decorations & spotlessly clean & fresh. Our studio was so spacious with stunning views over the golf course. We ate breakfast outside on our spacious patio. Will definitely stay here again as location is perfect for so many beautiful parts of the Cotswolds."
