Welcome to your serene waterfront haven on the Steinhatchee River, with sweeping views of the Gulf of America. This meticulously maintained 3-bedroom, 2-bath home blends coastal charm with modern amenities—perfect for families, anglers, scallopers, or anyone craving a laid-back Florida escape.

The Flamingo Villa has been a family favorite for nears. It is walking distance to Steinhatchee Marina, Roy's food truck, Crabbie Dads, and public boat ramp.
The views from the porch are unforgettable it will leave you planning your next trip back before you head back to reality.
Bedroom 1 (Primary): King bed, smart tv, en-suite bathroom with tiled shower.
Bedroom 2: 1 king, 1 twin plus smart tv
Bedroom 3: 1 King, 1 twin plus smart tv
Living Areas: 3 sets of sliders open up your view of the Gulf of America where you can watch the anglers go out in the morning while sipping your coffee on the covered porch or watch a beautiful sunset melt into the Gulf
Light-filled, open-concept living and dining area with high ceilings, Smart TV, wifi, 2 comfy sofas and two recliners gives you the space to relax and unwind after a long day on the water. The large dining table can accommodate six plus outdoor dining on the covered porch for 4 more guests

Peacful Get-A-Way, with Excellant View!!

We had an Awesome week!Fabulous place to stay, This was our 2nd time staying at the Flamingo and planning to stay again next season. The View is excellent with a great location. The owner is very friendly and helpful. As my 16 your old nephew would say Loved it 100%!!

Great location & house

Rooms were clean. Lots of space. Nice linens and comfortable mattresses. Cant beat the sunsets at this location.Returning for Scallop season. CAN'T WAIT!!

Beautiful view!

The property had all the comforts of home. Plenty of linens and the kitchen has everthing you need to cook a full meal. The extra refrig was a plus. The patio is a nice place to relax and watch the sun go down. We did use the grill, but had to use tin foil to cover top rack due to rust and breakage. We definitely will rent again!

Great for large families

The location of this property was perfect. It was a short boat ride out to the gulf. The windows, covered patio, and deck allowed us to constantly enjoy the water views and sunsets. The pictures do not do the property justice. The indoor and outdoor living spaces are large and all 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are spacious. We comfortably slept 8 adults and 6 kids/teens. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. There is a large fridge in the kitchen and an extra fridge in the laundry room. There is a new marina and restaurant/bar next to the house. Live music or karaoke is usually playing at night but it didn’t bother us. It was entertaining. We would definitely recommend this rental for a large group of friends and family.

Great Property Eagle Eye Owner

The house was nice, the location is great. The owner must have called me 5 times as he was watching me from the multitude of cameras. First it was we couldn't park the trailer in the grass, which I understand, and we moved it. Then it was we couldn't park our boat on "his portion" of the dock, he wanted me to put my boat on the floater that it wouldnt fit on. Even though there were no other boats there during our stay. Then the phone call for having our wet towels hanging on the dock to dry, he didn't want out "laundry" hanging out to dry. Then when i took a lawn chair from the porch and walked down to fish by the water 100 feet away, he called and said not to remove the patio furniture after I brought it back up. It's creepy having your every move watched while trying to relax with family and friends on vacation, especially when we took such great care of everything. There are other houses on that same road I've rented multiple times, won't be coming back to this one.

Great family stay with awesome location & stunning views

Nice updates to this property! We’ve stayed several times here under previous owner and new owner. Price increase was worthy due to upgrades in home and Wi-Fi! Also parking was easy for family members. Kitchen is great asset as well as location. New Marina next door is convenient … maybe a little loud for some in the evenings.. come prepared. No complaints from us and we had small children, but you can hear the band and the crowd. Hope it remains available for future rentals at a reasonable price.

Scalloping Season

This property is in an unbelievable location for scallop season. The view is the star of the house and the porches perfect for gathering in the evening. Comfortable furniture and huge kitchen for cooking with your family and friends.

Amazing view

The property is amazing. The kitchen is fully equiped minus the can opener that didnt work ( suggestion is to bring ur own). The bathrooms had plenty of linen. The deck outside was a plus. Only downfall, there was no Wifi. We was able to get our boat in and out easily. I will rent again.

Annual fishing trip

Exceeded expectations. The new marina adds a ambiance personally we liked listening to live music off deck. The pictures don’t interior justice. The owners were pleasant. 10 years of steinhatchee trips and by far the nicest and cleanest.

Scalloper/fisherman’s Dream

Great home for our family with adults and children. Kitchen and All bedrooms and bathrooms are great size. The views are gorgeous!! We were able to keep our boat out back and we’re seconds to the gulf to start are scalloping adventure. Owner is great to work with if you have any issues. Large driveway and parking. Wheel chair/stroller accessible. Comes with all cooking appliances needed. Restaurant is walking distance! Boat ramp is walking distance. Only downfall of our stay was the master bed room AC doesn’t cool down room well. Other then that place was perfect for what we came to do!! We will definitely stay again next year. Other reviews about marina going in next door are ridiculous, the view is still amazing and private. Every house is going to have something next to it,

Third and last stay

The location, at the mouth of the river is great The floating dock is great with a hose readily accessible. The house was clean. The house is very spacious and the huge kitchen has plenty of plates, cups, pots pans, etc. It has all the necessary appliances. The beds are comfortable, There is plenty of seating but we found it not very comfortable. There is a wagon/cart to help you carry your stuff up the ramp . The A/C works great. There was no high chair or crib/play yard for the baby. The washer/dryer work but are outrageously noisy and the louvered doors to close them in are broken. The fridge is small. The dishwasher is very old and the bottom rack is broken. The shower on/off valve in the master shower does not work right. There was plenty of hot water but it was difficult to adjust. You could never tell what it was going to be by where it was positioned. We put up with those inconveniences when it was a reasonable price. We found it a perfect place to gather our family and friends to go scalloping. However, the Flamingo has been sold and the new owners have doubled the price. ( Our price was already locked in from the previous owner). There is no way we would spend $700 for this house, especially with the restrictions they have put on it. Only 3 cars allowed and max of 8 people even though It is a huge place with plenty of room for parking. I"m not sure how that correlates with their description of "a great place for the entire family to meet..." Every correspondence we had with the new owner had in bold print that they strictly enforce the rules and have a caretaker ready to report violations. Also a large new marina is being built a stones throw away. There are many boat slips which will block the nice view and only time will tell how that boat traffic affects the house and dock. There are many other rentals near the mouth of the river and we will be choosing a different one in the future.

Great place and summer fun for the family. We’ve stayed here a few times and we like it.

Nice view with a super kitchen! Great porch and balcony and scalloping is always a family memory maker. Hope the new marina Going in next door doesn’t take away from the quaintness of the property. New owners are very nice and will likely update and make changes. If the rates are going up, I hope they consider adding WiFi, another TV, hooks on the porch for equipment, a grill on the balcony, luggage racks in the bedrooms or perhaps usable nightstands for unpacking. Increasing the daily rate is understandable but putting a limit on the number of people, vehicles, and boat trailers to stay on the property, is questionable considering the cost. We’re happy with our last two stays!!

Have rented this property for years. We love the closeness to the mouth of the river and views from the oversized deck. This year there was some obstruction by a large barge and crane working on the construction of a new marina next door to the property. When it is completed; it should be very nice.

Somewhat disappointed this year

Let me start by saying that we have stayed here in the past and have been absolutely satisfied. In fact, so much so that we continue to return. However, this year there’s a marina going up right beside the property. There was heavy construction and loud noises for the entirety of our stay. The beautiful ocean view that is advertised on the Internet was obstructed by construction and crane on a dock being built right outside the property. The construction prevented any fishing that was enjoyed in the past. Additionally, The owners showed up with a surveyor in the backyard without a call or any warning. We were sitting in a restaurant when we looked over and saw people in the backyard. Startled, we had to hurry over to find out who was on the property with all of our belongings and without our knowledge. I would like to add that we got there a little earlier than expected and the maid was still cleaning. She was very understanding of our long trip and could not have been more hospitable. Would we have stayed here if we had known all of this construction was going? Who knows, however, it should have been disclosed.

Love the views. Had to evacuate per Taylor County EMS. Elsa. Still trying to get property manager to get back with me about this. VRBO was not able to get them to answer either. Been 4 days. Per the rental agreement I am due back money. At this point-not expecting it.

Fantastic for beautiful sunsets and family get togethers

This is our fifth time at this property and we absolutely love it. Great outdoor space to entertain. Room for two boats on your own private dock at the mouth of the river to the Gulf. You have an expansive view of the Gulf and sunsets. Huge kitchen with full utensils and equipment. Plenty of parking for your group. Boat lovers’ paradise.
