"Overall we enjoyed our stay. A couple things of note: Bringing black out shades is super helpful! The closet in the bedroom is big enough for a portable crib. Be sure to bring toilet paper. We only had one full and one partial roll between the two bathrooms(and they were paper thin). Because there isn’t anywhere super close, it’s nice to know to pack some ahead of time :) The road is so peaceful and we went on the trail quite a few times. It was a bit wet, so we didn’t make it all the way...

"The house was very clean and comfortable for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids. The decks were lovely and we made good use of the outdoor fireplace and hot tub!"

"Nice older cabin with very quiet, country location. Lots of privacy and walk to river. Dog friendly too! Bring coffee grounds for the coffee maker. Will definitely be back!"

"Such a relaxing experience. Especially being a couple blocks from Main Street so everything was walkable. Seven Bends State Park is literally behind the house up the mountain. And Woodstock Brewhouse had the best salads and beer. Highly recommend!"

"The location was minutes from Skyline Drive and we were close to tons of hiking. Front and back yard were both fenced and great for my niece and my dogs. House was super clean and had everything we needed. Only suggestion is a bigger couch or more seating in the living room. It was a little tight trying to relax at night in front of the TV."

"The pictures and description are 100% accurate, but being there in person to take in the peaceful surroundings and views of nature with the family was a great experience. The hostess was responsive from the moment we booked and provided all the info we needed to make it to this mountain top cabin on the VA/WV border. We drove up on a Friday and after getting out of DC traffic we were on our way to Almost Heaven cabin. When we’re about a mile or so from the cabin we saw a black bear crossing...

"We were in town for the comedy show at the casino. House was within walking distance however not a walk you would want to take wearing heels. Very quiet neighborhood with plenty of restaurants close by. The house was very clean and comfortable beds. Had a really great time!! Thank you!!!"

"Everything as advertised. Host went out of his way to orient us (videos, typed directions/instructions/info); quick to respond. Just enough development in the area to keep it country. SNP, SSP, Skyline drive all worth the trip."

"This property is close to the cave so u can save your time on that and probably this property is old but they have all kind of equipment for cooking and kitchen have nice space so whole family can enjoy a food at same time and nice 3 barrooms upstairs with window air conditioner so that helps a lot over all you can stay 3to 4 day very good and we had a great time in this property we all enjoyed a lot"
