"My friends and I rented 2 rooms. +++ The owner was very friendly and nice. The rooms did not have any no cleaning smell which is most important to us. They were renovated (recently) and are VERY CHARMING with beautiful design (designed by his wife) - colors, decoration, shades, furniture, there is a pretty big red charming fridge with big freezer and a matching red microwave. Breakfast was ok with coffee (though we hopped to have eggs). The dining was at the charming new picnic tables at the yard. ---- The door to the bathroom was hard to slide. There was some dust on the lamps The microwave was on top of the fridge and hard to get for short people (I did not need). Overall – Very charming rooms, clean with no cleaning smell which we LOVED a lot. - I will certainly come back"

"Everything was great. The feeling is super cozy. If going with kids take favorite toys/blankets. Also, they have everything you need in the kitchen all you need is the food. Will definitely will be going back."

"The hotel is undergoing some renovations. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and a good size shower. The power on the front wall with a very large flat screen TV was out so I was unable to watch it. I was busy so it didn’t matter. I believe it was due to the renovation crew working outside. The Hotel removed a parking charge for one night when I informed them at checkout. I was only there for 2 nights. The Hotel gym was nicer than a lot of Hotels I have stayed at. Overall it was a very pleasant experience with a lot of activity within walking distance."

"We were here maybe 15 yrs. ago and the rooms were definitely more rustic. The updated rooms are simple, clean and cozy. The full and efficient kitchen was fine to make a nice dinner. The resort was winding down for the season and staff minimal and in late September the restaurant was closed so it was best to p/u food for breakfast and dinner. Minimal problems included the thermostatically controlled small gas fireplace that was somewhat erratic; sometimes the fan was too noisy at night. During the day the traffic noise made it difficult to enjoy the beautiful grounds, but quiet at night. Overall worth the stay to enjoy beautiful Hope Valley and trails on the property!"
