Weathervane Hotel by Greene King Inns
8/10 Good
"Hotel tired and very dated, but rooms clean. Bar and restaurant 10/10 excellent value food and drinks. Also nearby park for kids, tesco, aldi and mcdonald's all walking distance. Nearby to alton towers (reason for our trip) also nearby to stoke football ground"
DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke on Trent

The Beehive Guest House
10/10 Excellent
"A wonderful place to stay. It's been beautifully restored by Steve and Jo. It's and immaculate Guest House that's in a scenic spot in a small village. Ample parking, A varied menu is available for breakfast alongside Jo's daily specials which include filled Staffordshire Oatcakes and Pancakes. They are scrumptious. Everything you'd expect is provided in your room and rather than the little plastic packets of UHT Milk Jo provides each room withe small thermos flask of fresh milk (or alternative milks )in a small Thermos flask every day. Jo made us feel very welcome from stepping through the front door until we left. and Also she's really helpful when asked about attractions in the local area. If you're going to visit Alton Towers ask Jo anything you want to know about it. She's visited often and is a font of knowledge re parking, rides, attractions etc. As well as being close to Alton Towers it's also close to many interesting things to do and places to see. Jo gave us very useful information about local towns to visit and we enjoyed Uttoxeter, Lichfield, Leek, and in Cheadle we explored the first church designed and built by Pugin; St Giles Church. If you're interested in history and/or architecture it;s well wort visiting. Not only are the front doors unusual and surprising they're stunning. The inside is truly breathtaking and magnificent. We had trips on 2 heritage railways; Churnet Valley railway and the Rudyard Lake railway, both were excellent and very enjoyable."
The Upper House
10/10 Excellent
"A superb location with lovely garden views. Very serene, grand setting. Our room was in the China wing, beautiful room, very cosy. The common lounge room was inviting and grand, in fact the whole place is grand! Breakfast was excellent, select a cooked choice from the menu. Cereal, toast and juice alway available at buffet. Staff are lovely and well received at reception. Plenty of car parking. A delightful stay. Will stay longer next time. Love it."
North Stafford Hotel Town Centre
10/10 Excellent
"Clean room very quite had no problem parking although we probably got a penalty driving through a restricted bus lane which there are no signs so be careful when finding the hotel and plan the route because we had trouble finding the place."

"Stayed as a group for my wife’s 30th. John and his team were very generous with their hospitality, and we loved the castle itself. All bedrooms were huge and had an en suite. Would definitely recommend and most likely return in the future."
