"What a wonderful respite from our urban life. From the time we checked in, which was effortless, to our departure everything about this cabin and the surrounding area provided exactly what we needed.The combination of silence interrupted only by the sounds of the river eased us into a state of relaxation we had hoped to achieve.Stoddartsville provided plenty of opportunities for exploration. Hiking near the falls and mill ruins, along the rushing river and of course visiting with locals (goats and chickens) brought a sense of reset to our souls and smiles to our faces. This experience was not limited to just us humans, our dog Roscoe exhibited the zoomies with puppy like enthusiasm.The hike to the cemetery provided a glimpse at the history of the origins of Stoddartsville with the rock foundations of homes long gone and the historical marker that details John Stoddarts vision for the town.We have shared our experience with family and friends and hope to return.One last share; the hosts were friendly and responsive throughout our stay."

"Hello, my husband and I were looking for a quiet, relaxed little weekend getaway for our 26 year anniversary. No stress or pressure to do anything just be. This cabin experience provided that for us. Thank you. Beautiful area nice walk to the river. Was so happy we could bring our Lab. She also really enjoyed our stay. Only 1 issue, the tv remote volume would not go up. It would mute and go down but not up. Not a dealbreaker. We were there to get away. Again Thank you so much. "

"The home was clean and check-in was straightforward, which we appreciated.However, overall the stay did not feel like a good value for the price. After fees, the nightly cost was significantly higher than expected, and some charges, including the pet fee, were not clearly communicated upfront.While the property was clean, it did not feel particularly comfortable. The king-size bed was very soft and lacked support, which made it difficult to sleep well. The rooms are also quite small, making the space feel cramped.The checkout process was also more involved than anticipated. Guests are required to take trash to a community disposal area and clean out the fireplace. Given the added cleaning fee, this felt excessive.Overall, while the home met basic expectations for cleanliness, the pricing, comfort, and checkout requirements did not align with what we expected for the cost. Greater transparency and a more guest-friendly experience would make a noticeable difference."
