A gem of a hotel in the mountains. Some lovely touches, most notably a magnificent three-course dinner in the Viking House. Excellent location, equidistant from places of interest such as Alesund and Geiranger. Highly recommend for a unique experience.

It is a hidden gem. We enjoyed our stay at a beautiful room with a mountain view. Drive into the property is tricky but it is nicely situated in the mountain side. Dinner was special and delicious. We loved warm hospitality by the staff.

Fantastic experience! Nice large room with many amenities including communal jacuzzi and lounge. Highlight is the three course viking themed dinner every night (extra charge) with each delicious course accompanied by a story. Lovely relaxed vibe. Ole the owner/manager was a great help to us. He provided us info to use the ferries and he really helped us a lot with our phone. All the staff was also very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Excllent breakfast. Be careful when you approach this hotel, there is only a little sign on the road next to the driveway, if you blink you will miss it like I did!
