"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. "Just the job..a 2 night stay for the wife and myself. We will be returning here in a few weeks time for a couple of nights again...so relaxing. The staff here are excellent, going the extra mile to ensure a freindly, comfortable experience. Have to say, especially the restaraunt staff...brilliant! And the breakfast served was really just great...looking forward to that again in a few weeks time!"

"Always stay here when Ipswich area - business and family, this latest stay being the latter. 2 x rooms x 2 nights. 5* overall as a stay however, whereas normally I’m full of praise for staff, this stay felt different. Welcome was perfunctory at best but probably better described as less than friendly. Only one member of staff hit the usual high standards. I did mention to her and she explained that the chap who was particularly miserable doesn’t usually work days and does nights instead. One of his colleagues was equally miserable. My suggestion is that the management team work hard to ensure consistency. It’s nice to feel welcome."

"The staff where very attentive, helpful, and nothing with a problem, My partner and I stayed one night for our two year anniversary, and we where giving an upgrade room, with Rose petals in the roon with a card wishing us happy anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and Is surrounded by beautiful gardens. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel especially for a special romantic break"

"We had a very last minute booking, but the staff were very attentive and accommodating. The room was good and spacious, located in the annex, it did not have bath, but we were OK with the shower. The food is good, the breakfast was lovely, however continental part has no porridge and no cheese/charcuterie, just corn and other flakes and bread and jam and some small pastries. Beautiful location, building, good and comfy beds and good service"
