Hillcroft is a superb detached bungalow and the perfect place for exploring this lovely part of the world, if you can stop looking at the wonderful sea views! The living accommodation benefits from being all on one level with a wood burning stove and a comfortable G plan leather sofa and chairs in the sitting room. Patio doors open out onto a raised balcony where you can sit and admire the views over the village to the sea. If you are lucky you may spot dolphins. The same view can be enjoyed from the kitchen/dining room as you tuck into your breakfast or evening meal. The property is very well-equipped having all the necessary cutlery, crockery and utensils for your stay, build-in wardrobes in all the bedrooms and a useful garage providing storage for bikes, golf clubs and fishing rods.
Hillcroft is in an area renowned for its natural beauty with fantastic flora and fauna. Due to the Gulf Stream there are many botanical gardens to visit, Castle Kennedy, Port Logan and Dunskey. There are many coastal walks and beaches to visit with your dog, Portpatrick is at one end of the Southern Upland Way, a long distance path (212 miles!) to Cockburnpath on the east coast. There are plenty of golf courses nearby including Portpatrick Golf Club which is just a short stroll from Hillcroft. There is a RSPB nature reserve at Mull of Galloway and mountain bikers and walkers with love the 7stanes Galloway Forest Park. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.3 miles.
