"The location was quiet and the cabin was clean and well equipped with most things you would need whilst staying in a lodge, there was plenty of parking available and the check-in and check-out process was easy."

"Google Map Pin is Not Correct. It brings you to a private residence kms prior. Cabin is very functional - just needs a good clean due to dust / spider webs"

"Excellent location to hike the Quiraing and An Storr. Just 30 minutes drive from Portree if you crave an evening out but the kitchen was an excellent plus to make breakfast before heading out. "

"WATCH OUT!!!! This property, and the people we interacted with for the reservation via Expedia, was a total scam. It starts with attractive photos on both Expedia and Hotels.com, but quickly gets sketchy with cryptic emails and texts regarding the reservation, payment and property details. Unfortunately, our trip was somewhat last minute, so we didn't have many local options for Skye, but this property / representatives were the absolute worst. STAY AWAY!!!"

"Had a lovely stay in Shiskine! The only thing I worried about was the proximity to the road but so few cars drove by, especially at night, that it is no problem at all. Peaceful and quiet. The tiny house/pod is just as promised in the pictures. I had a fantastic time exploring the surroundings of the lighthouse and of course all the beaches nearby. The beach below the property was basically a private one (in October), as I only saw a couple of other people once."

Applecross Inn is a great place for late afternoon drinks and dinner. Marion is a great host. "I had an excellent stay at the Sligachan Hotel. The hotel is steps away from breathtaking scenery for walking or hiking and a quick bus/car ride to Portree for shopping and dinner. Martin, the manager, was so helpful and kind. He drove my friend and I from Portree to our train because the bus schedule that day was not aligning well with our train schedule and morning activities. He also gave us great tips on the best things to do on the Isle of Skye and made sure that all of the guests were enjoying their stay. The breakfast was high quality - I loved the smoked salmon and eggs and the fresh fruits and yogurts. The receptionists were always friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions. I would recommend the Sligachan hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable stay right near the Cuillian Mountains and a quick commute to Portree."
