Hotel Flora Adult Only

"My friend and I stayed for five nights at Hotel Flora and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated outside the central part of Stresa, and is a lovely 15-20 minute walk into town along the lake promenade, and is close to both the train station and a nearby bus stop, making it a convenient location to have as your base for travelling around the area. The breakfast provided each morning has a wide variety of options to accommodate various dietary requirements and was a great way to start each day. What really makes this hotel special is the staff. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming - especially the three ladies at the reception desk. All of them always took the time to help us with our questions, provide directions or other information; and genuinely seemed happy to see us each day. They are a true asset to the hotel and our stay was more memorable because of them. If we are ever lucky enough to be in this area again, I would definitely return to this hotel."

"Very happy. The proprietors were great and I enjoyed breakfast each day. The hotel is in the middle of the tourist area. It's a reasonable walk from the train station. It's an older hotel and has only partial views of the lake, but it's clean and the staff are friendly."

"The hotel is gorgeous. Very elegant. Felt like living in a palace. The staff were satisfactory but not very personable. It felt like the staff were aware of the luxurious nature of the hotel and acted removed. Maybe there is no way around it. We felt more personally taken care of in smaller boutique hotels. The breakfast was nice and rich. The communal areas of the hotel were very pretty and elegant. There is definitely a trade off in this hotel between the luxury and person-ability of the experience."
