An okay hotel for a one-night stay. The dinner buffet had a wide selection of food, which was nice. The price was a bit higher than the quality and taste justified, but considering the hotel's location, it was still reasonable. Overall, a decent option if you just need a place to stay overnight.

This is a remote location close to hiking trails and waterfalls. It is very important to have a car, as it is not close to the cities. However, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is good, and the rooms comfortable. There are books to read and games to play.

Great stay ever. Rooms are excellent, views are amazing. Breakfast was nice too with the exceptional views. They also have balcony on the 3rd floor where you can sit and enjoy the views with some food, drinks and so on. A beautiful waterfall on 5 mins walk, don't miss it. Charging facilities are limited, so recommend to charge your car in advance coming to this location,

Great location with a sod at pale view, very clean hotel and room and the breakfast is amazing. No elevators was the only negative for us but the other perks made up for it. And the host were so kind and helpful. We definition recommend this hotel

This is a very special hotel up in the mountains. They view is spectacular, the place is spotless, the beds are very comfortable, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. We loved staring out at the mountains while enjoying the breakfast buffet and then ending the day with a game in the lounge over dessert. It’s a great midway point between places to go in western Norway, like Briksdalbreen and Geiranger. There are also a number of small towns along the way if you drive in from Ålesund airport, where it was fun to walk around and stop for a pastry. We loved the Videseter and would definitely stay here again.

We were upgraded to a room on the top floor overlooking Geiranger and the fjord. There isn't an elevator but you can go around the bldg to enter on the second floor. Parking is adequate at basement level. Dinner was wonderful and reasonably priced for the area. I Highly recommend this hotel with history back to 1893.

The view of the valley is stunning. The rooms are utilitarian and very clean. The breakfast is truly excellent and by comparison, the dinner was terrible and expensive. We rented the sauna and it was wonderful! There are 2 roads that lead to the Videseter and on arrival, Google Maps took us through a one lane, mountain road that was closed at the top! Would have been nice if the hotel had mentioned not to take the closed road. A quick message after we booked would have prevented a lot of stress. No EV chargers on site, but they plan to fix that soon.

Amazing

I booked 2 extra nights because I liked the place so much, and if I could I would have stayed even longer. It is pretty close to some amazing places like: Geiranger, Jostedals Glacier, Reinheimer National park, scenic route 258, scenic route 55, and so much more. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was really good. The owners are super nice.

This has to be one of the best hidden gems in Norway. The views are absolutely stunning, with a beautiful waterfall lookout and rooftop terrace. The hotel itself has a wonderful “old feel”. It is dated, but oozing history and well maintained. The rooms were very comfortable and very large, we easily fit our family of 4 in one of the family rooms. The breakfast was excellent and you could enjoy your coffee with magnificent views. Would highly recommend this place, especially for the views and wonderful old charm feel.
