"Just back from a long weekend in this beautiful villa. It had everything we could’ve wanted and the communication from Linda and Andrea was spot on. Only small thing to mention (as I have seen it on other reviews) was that the pool could’ve done with a clean. But it didn’t hinder our stay in anyway just would’ve taken it from a 10/10 to an 11/10!! Will 100% look to be back in the future."

"Absolutely beautiful hotel, very traditional. Beautiful rooms, great views. Lovely spa. Breakfast was very good, eggs all freshly cooked. We had an evening meal at the restaurant, it was very good & amazing value. There are some lovely little courtyards with restaurants & bars near the hotel. The main resorts ,are all within a 10-20 min cab ride. If you want a break ,with a traditional Spanish feel, look no further than La Fonda, we will definitely return "

"Unusual hotel, it is a villa now all individual rooms with self check in.. However it is very nice and works well. Extremely convenient for the pueblo. Nice room, swimming pool and loungers. All access is by a course on key pads."

"Firstly, Mike and Norma are excellent hosts and their communication either directly or via their point of contact in Spain, Helen, was excellent. We had issues with the Wi-Fi which was out of their control but they worked hard to resolve. The Villa sits in the hills of Benalmádena, 5 min drive to the gorgeous Pueblo or 10-15 mins drive to the main strip. With 2 young children we didn’t attempt any walking but in our opinion a car is pretty important if you want to do anything based outside of the villa - we had one so wasn’t an issue. Within half hour east or west of the coast we managed to see so much. A trip to Mijas is a must and the bio-park is a fantastic zoo if you are looking for something to do. We were unlucky enough to have 4 days of rain during our week stay, which meant we really had to “live” in the house. Whilst the town house possesses lots of charm it undoubtedly could do with some TLC. Little things such as a very wobbly unstable toilet, all the wall clocks without batteries, and an ancient oven that we could only get to grill just a few examples. The outside dining table is also in a pretty fragile state. In summary, I would recommend the villa for guests to stay. The outside area is really lovely and it’s in a really good location for a base. With a little bit of a refresh it could be really special place. Thank you Mike and Norma for your hospitality."
