We were two weeks in the States from the UK, and this was easily my favourite place in which we stayed. Our room was called The Stables and it was gorgeous. An enormous room, great bathroom, and a perfect patio outside. What made things so great was the grounds. You can just set off from your patio, and walk through the woods on well maintained paths. In early morning, or late evening, they are just magical. Our hosts were lovely, and we would have happily stayed for longer if we could. It is beautifully peaceful, and I haven't slept so well in ages.

The very friendly and courteous owners were available to help with luggage when we arrived and checked out. We have ambulatory challenges, so the stairs can be tough with our hands full. The property, the lobby area, and our suite were very inviting, clean, they smelled heavenly and were beautifully decorated. All were charming and appropriate. They started a campfire for us and there was a S'mores basket available! Breakfast was delivered to our suite each morning at the time we chose. We are HUGE fans of this location and highly recommend it! The location is perfect for us because it's away from the very busy downtown areas, but those are quickly and easily accessible if you want to spend the day there.

Breakfast’s were wonderful. We had use of a charger for our Tesla free while we were there. Gardens beautiful. We weren’t in the room a lot but it was a great stay.

We stayed in the Loft Suite for a night and it was super cute and cozy! We spent our time reading outside in the sun and in comfy armchairs, relaxing in the room’s jacuzzi, and exploring the grounds. The grounds are beautiful - they are so well maintained and the trails are covered in moss. We also went to Cave Point park (about a 20-30 min drive away) - between that and the BnB, it was a great weekend. When we arrived, we filled out a card saying what time breakfast should be delivered. After a deep night’s sleep, we found a basket at our door with coffee, orange juice, quiche, peaches and cream, and some kind of pumpkin/chocolate chip muffin (we couldn’t figure out exactly what it was but it was yummy!). It was delicious.

A wonderful stay!

My husband and I celebrated 25 years of marriage at the Chanticleer. It was so quiet, relaxing and a much needed time of reconnection for us. The breakfast was delicious, delivered to our door every morning at the requested time. We highly recommend and would love to come back again!

Charming Door County Gem!

This property was an absolute gem! My wife and I got away for a quick anniversary trip and the whole experience couldn’t have been more perfect. From the charming room, to the friendly proprietors, right down to the delicious breakfast delivered to our door in the morning, our stay was perfect.

I highly recommend staying here. It is a country setting, with well maintained, peaceful grounds. The rooms are comfortable and it is a restful atmosphere. There is easy access to the highway that allows you to head north and see the entire coastline of Door County. We would come back!

This B&B was like staying in a botanical garden! There were 30 acres of beautiful landscape. A great pool to relax in after a day of sightseeing. Hosts were very friendly and accomodating. Rooms were enormous and comfortable. Highly recommend!!
