Great 50's history vibe. Hotel is renovated but kept the history alive. Host was welcoming. The outside patio area is great, although we didn't use the fire pit, they had all the necessities for a nice campfire experience, enjoyed the patio in the evenings. Close to downtown, all walkable. It has the original cafe counter, with tea and microwave etc for guests to use, but I thought morning donuts or toast option would be great. Coffee and fixings available in the room though. I think it's fine for dogs and their owners to feel welcome, but other guests should know there are designated rooms just for these guests.

I almost don't like leaving such a positive review because I don't want it to get hard to book, but this place deserves it. They do such a great job and MJ is always welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is convenient.

Location was excellent, near everything but quiet. There were venues on either side of the hotel with free music close enough to walk to in the evenings. Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Room was very small but adequate. We stayed on the first floor, just a few steps away from the old-time diner counter that was stocked with coffeemaker, hot chocolate, plates, and silverware. There was a nice little shaded eating area outdoors as well. Quirky but fun.
