"Lovely place to stay. Staff are 10/10. Food was good. Breakfast plentiful. Our room was clean and large (some small maintenance is required). Pool is lovely but there is some maintenance needed - mosaic tiling on floors has all come up, grout a bit grim, sauna benches very worn. We would definitely come back and some basic maintenance would make it even better. "

"Breakfast was good, though staff weren't clearing tables so a big queue soon built up. Problems with the coffee machine slso meant we had to go without. Room was clean and spacious. A lot of areas in the spa were out of order so it was basically a pool & sauna. Service in restaurant was poor and extremely slow. Food was generally good but not as described on the menu eg banoffee icecream was actually vanilla, and cherry cheesecake was actually strawberries & raspberries, neither of which was mentioned on ordering. But the worst was that one of our party had a large piece of greaseproof paper in their chicken pie. This meal was deducted from the bill but wasnt removed from the table and no substitute offered. "

"Clean room, staff are really lovely, front of bar lee was so chatty and very good at his job, We had breakfast and wow plenty of choice and ver tasty. Plenty of parking. "

"Parking was easy, plenty of spaces even on a busy Saturday afternoon which was when we arrived. The lady who welcomed us was lovely and provided useful information and gave phone numbers for local taxis. Same lady asked if we’d had a good evening on Sunday. Room was welcoming with delightful views across green fields. Bed was comfortable and shower was good too. Really pleasant stay, we’d certainly go back another time and so would our friends who were also staying at The Railway Thank you All for making our stay delightful "
