Friendly Morning Desk Clerk

Although there is no one at the desk (usually, from what I could understand) during check-in time, we still had a pleasant stay. Two guys were drinking beer at the entrance, and since they had checked in earlier, they helped us “check-in” by opening the lock box which had our key. There was a phone number to call for help - but it is expensive using a phone from the US. The following morning, the clerk brought out all the food for breakfast as she had just finished putting it away. She was so nice, it made our stay go from 2 stars to 4 stars. The breakfast is a simple German breakfast but was included in our room rate. Note that I did not see an elevator and all rooms are upstairs! Had a fabulous meal a few blocks away at Schmitte.

Das Hotel an sich, ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. TV hat nicht funktioniert und die Kommunikation zwischen Service und mir hat nicht funktioniert! Ich habe das Hotel mit täglicher Zimmerreinigung gebucht, jedoch gab es für mein Zimmer nur ein Schlüssel, sodass ich jeden Morgen, den Schlüssel hätte abgeben müssen. Dies wurde mir jedoch erst am vorletztem Tag mitgeteilt. Des weiteren wurde mir gesagt, dass wenn ich neue Handtücher etc haben möchte, meine gebrauchten einfach vor die Tür legen soll. Ich tat dies, jedoch wurden acht Stunden später, diese nicht gewechselt bzw erneuert, sodass ich meine dreckige Wäsche selber runter tragen musste!

Empfang mittags um 14:00 nur über Tresor. Keine Info, dass die Gaststätte geschlossen ist. Man muss über das Bett klettern um an das Heizventil zu kommen. Fernseher kann nur am Gerät selber angemacht werden, nicht über die Fernbedienung. Das Wasser muss man gefühlt fünf Minuten laufen lassen bis es warm wird. Das war das ärmlichste Fühstück, dass ich seit vielen Jahren hatte. Ich werde hier nicht mehr buchen.

Preis-Leistung stimmt hier absolut! Es ist ein ziemlich altes Hotel mit dünnen Türen und SEHR durch gelegenen Betten ja, aber es ist sauber und alles in allem gut. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr nett. Ich würde wieder buchen.
