The hosts, Mirella and Francesco, were exceptional for both our stay and our wedding. The experience was unforgettable, and I cannot thank them enough. "Loved this villa! It is so spacious with plenty of room for the nine of us who stayed. Everywhere was very clean and well kept. The outside space is delightful with lots of spaces to enjoy and of course the magnificent pool which we all enjoyed very much. We also really appreciated the gifts of wine, cake and pasta/sauce - delicious! There was a list of days for different categories of rubbish to be collected. However, despite putting the refuse out, some was not collected. Maybe the list needs to be updated? We were somewhat disappointed that trains do not seem to run from Piazza al Serchio station, as we had expected from the information given. Instead, all journeys appear to commence with a bus ride to connect to a train elsewhere.However, this couple of niggles did not detract from a fabulous holiday. "We had a wonderful stay at this villa – the setting is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. The villa was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.Our children especially loved the alpacas, chickens, and tortoises. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, even leaving us a delicious homemade cake on arrival.The nearby villages are quiet but charming and worth visiting. We also took day trips to Florence and Pisa – longer drives, but definitely worth it.Thank you for a fantastic stay!"

"Absolutely unique place, which is hard to find anywhere else. It has everything needed for cooking in the kitchen or bbq’ing on the terrace, and the setting within an old castle complex and in the midst of mountainous nature is just awesome. We had a great time here, even though it was unfortunately very short for us. "

"The cottage is wonderful for getting away from it all. Comfy bed, wifi, brilliant host, a varied selection of wildlife and animals! The location is really off the beaten track, the last road to the parking is very narrow with tight bends. We walked down the ancient path to the medieval bridge a couple of times, steep but great views. Very peaceful place, thoroughly recommended."

"What a find! We went as a large family group, so to have separate apartments for each individual family worked out perfectly for us. Their accommodation was well equipped immaculately clean and comfortable.Some of our part of a clean cyclist, so to any cyclist it’s an absolute Mecca, but you have to like hills! "

"An incredible modern property. The infinity pool was amazing. The pool a little cold, but this is due to the time of year. Beautiful location such incredible scenery. The host tried to be as helpful as possible. They were happy to lend us a heater to warm up the apartment."
