Enter the property into the heart of the home – a cosy lounge/diner with a characterful, ornamental fireplace and an array of comfortable seating nestled around a Smart TV. You’ll also find a dining table for sharing delicious, home-cooked meals together. The separate, compact kitchen has been carefully configured to include everything needed for a self-catering getaway. Cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor and the two inviting bedrooms, both of which have ample storage for all your holiday attire. A family bathroom rounds off this charming retreat. Outside, the enclosed courtyard has bistro-style furniture and provides a peaceful spot for a morning coffee or an al fresco supper. Lavenham is one of England’s best-preserved medieval villages, with a fabulous collection of timber-framed buildings lining its narrow streets. The village hosts a popular farmers’ market every month, and also has some delightful independent shops, boutiques, and galleries to potter around. Learn all about the village’s fascinating history at the museum in the Guild Hall, before joining one of the many scenic walking trails that branch away from the village. From Lavenham it’s easy to enjoy a day trip to Bury St Edmunds (12 miles) and Constable Country (15 miles).
