It doesn’t get more romantic than Starry Nights with its hot tub, layout and shimmering lights.

No expense was spared in bringing Starry Nights to life, a lot of thought and love went into the re-creation of this yesteryear beauty! Guests have been blown away by our acreage with hiking trails, ponds, swings, views and land art is superior to anything on the market! If you are looking to simply get away and get lost, and truly want an “experience” that checks all the boxes, you have found your cabin, close to the center of the High Country, but so far away from your day to day reality - Sugar Grove is the perfect home base for your vacation, only about 20 mins from Boone!
So why not add a petting zoo as well? The Goats, ducks, bunnies and chickens have landed!) And they are a riot!
The entire upstairs of this barn/cabin is privately yours. The 20 acres next door with a driving and walking path over a bridge is also yours to explore, but is shared with the neighboring cabins.
We feel we have expectations down to a science and this cabin strikes all the right chords of the millenials, the small families and the retirees! We are Super Hosts! When you see me, please do come say hi!
The Bethel community is a lot of farms, large acreage tracts, on a state-maintained road and home to lovely neighbors. We even have our own convenience store up the road on 321, Cove Creek Store, where you can buy the basics, get firewood and everything you need to cook and enjoy the mountain (and Barn) life! And Trash Can Falls is only a few miles away (swimming hole, look it up!)
Park next to your front door with one step into the cabin. This is a very easily accessible year-round cabin (unless a blizzard hits, then no cabin is truly accessible). Although we do NOT require 4x4 in the winter months, we will always recommend 4x4 during inclement weather.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be guests staying downstairs (a small 2-bedroom unit), but we did the best job possible of separating and segregating the two units: decks on opposite sides, parking on different sides, staircase area and locked door separating the two spaces. Although the barn is built tough with 16" beams separating the units, noise will certainly travel. We ask that you take off your shoes and be aware that there are guests trying to enjoy peace and quiet below you.
PLEASE NOTE: The single bed is in the lower level stairwell is separated from the downstairs unit by a bolt lock. This offers a little extra privacy if needed, but is rarely used (it is not practical to plan to put your toddler here, ask questions!) The pullout couch is in the open living room.

PET FEE: $50 pet fee for ONE dog up to 25 pounds, NO EXCEPTIONS! CRATE POLICY (if you depart without her). If you plan to leave her and she is the type that barks all day, she is NOT welcome, sorry. Breed restrictions due to farm animals, ducks and other pets on property.

We had planned to do several things on in the area on our trip but fell so in love with the barn and the property we didn’t want to leave. Our trip off property ended up consisting of a trip to the grocery store so we could get back. It was the perfect relaxing weekend getaway!

We had an amazing stay this summer at this property. We have stayed at another property run by this manager and loved it. This summer tried the top and bottom unit here. The manager was responsive to our questions and the property is AMAZING! My three sons all wish to come back again. My teenagers fished each evening and my youngest made friends with other visitors and was non-stop active out of doors for this vacation. We went out and about in Boone and Blowing Rock a few times but overall the kids requested to stay at the property and enjoy the amenities. We will be back!

This is our second year coming to this amazing property. It’s absolutely beautiful in the fall. There is so much to do on the property for young families that the property is a vacation. It is a unique place to make amazing memories. Our grandchildren asked to return. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Cat

We spent three nights at Starry Nights. Connie, the owner was so kind! The whole property is beautiful. So many whimsical details and I loved the animals! Starry nights was beautiful and clean. Such a romantic getaway. Convenient to Boone, Banner Elk, Beech Mountain, and we even took a drive to Bristol, TN. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for romance, style, and fun!

My husband and I had such an amazing stay at the "barn upstairs". There is so much to do on the property. We enjoyed hiking the woods and relaxing by the pond. My husband even went tubing in the lazy stream and loved it. The barn itself was beautifully decorated and so romantic. I love how it just glows at night. I can't say enough about how much we loved the place. We will be returning!!

This was a chance booking as is was a middle ground / neutral spot for long estranged family members to reconnect. Lots of beautiful places to sit, and entertaining things to do...with the Christmas tree a glow inside and the grounds fully landscaped in Summer splendor outside — one got really have all the best. It was perfect. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Connie, the owner was extremely responsive regarding our questions. The accommodations & property are immaculate. There is the sweetest petting zoo & walking trails around her 15 acre property (complete with disc swing and in-ground trampoline!) Very safe as well, as I had the pleasure of sprinting after my very “spirited” 4 year old up & down the trails. 🙃 we will certainly be back! Thanks Connie for such wonderful accommodations. -Karla

This is a great property! Our kids loved all the animals! It was very peaceful. I gave the overall rating of 4 stars because the chlorine in the hot tub was very strong and irritated our skin. Also, my son is allergic to dust. The accommodations were fairly dusty. I tried to wipe down most of the dust, but he still was affected. We enjoyed our stay though.

We had such an amazing and relaxing time! The petting zoo was so cute! We stayed for two nights and came to ski and relax:) The only critique I have was that the bathroom (specifically the shower) was not cleaned but other than that it was so clean and a super comfy space! The property is shared and perfect for anyone who loves unique spots. We definitely want to return back and stay for longer- but we were so lucky to have the two days we did! We bought carrots for the animals too (super funny watching the goats jump with excitement!). Another fun thing was exploring the property and getting to see the hidden items on the property! The trampoline, swings, hammocks, fire pits, etc were so fun! We couldn’t have loved a place more! Thank you for this experience! See you soon!!

We really needed a break from our house and the monotony of social distancing. This was the perfect place! My son and I stayed in the upstairs unit, and friends stayed in the bottom. The kids roamed the property, loved the goats, went tubing and had a blast roasting marshmallows. The adults sat in the shade, enjoyed the goats (who doesn’t like a baby goat?), drank wine, read books and soaked in the fresh air. Perfect place for a lovely stay. Only suggestion — bring sleep masks of your own! I had one (I always do), but my son didn’t. He would have slept longer if he did :-). (There is one there, but in today’s day I wasn’t comfortable having him use it.)

This property is wonderful for families. On-site petting “zoo” consisting of goats, bunnies, small horses, and a wide variety of birds! Not to mention the alpacas! Playground, fire pits, beautiful surroundings for walking/hiking and the accommodations for gathering, eating, sleeping, etc. exceeded our expectations! On our last morning there, we woke up to a dusting of snow! A truly magical place!

Venue is as pictured, the grounds are beautiful and the farm animals are a unique addition. The only drawback to this unit is the sound travels within it from the unit below.

Excellent location. We enjoyed the property and had fun in the recreation area (I totally kicked my husband's tail in ax throwing). We enjoyed the goats, bunnies, ponies, and lamas. So wonderful to interact and feed them carrots. The barn was a real treat and very comfortable! Everything was clean and so many neat touches throughout. Really appreciated little things like salt and pepper. Will gladly stay here again.
