"Quiet clean hotel tucked in the mountains of West Virginia. Small, charming and conveniently located just off Hwy #64. So nice to support a locally owned business. Best of all NO pets, NO pool so you're not paying for something you don't need. Wonderful staff (owner). Convenient breakfast with nice choices. We've traveled all over the world and this was exactly what we need in a hotel. Will use again. A "10"."

"Hotel was quiet and provided what we needed for a night’s rest on our trip down to NC. Front desk host, Debra was very nice and accommodating. However, the 3rd floor rooms have a heavy chemical smell with smoke undertones…Perhaps an attempt to cover up the smell from people smoking in the rooms even though it’s not allowed. We tried two rooms and found the smell to be the same. We did not partake of the breakfast as it was mostly carbs. I did grab a banana for the road though!"

"The breakfast was very good 👍👍. There is a large mowed yard out front to walk the 4 legged members of the family. The area is very quiet with a Marathon fuel mart across the street. There is a new Burger King adjacent to the Marathon station. We ordered our supper from the Burger King and they delivered it promptly."

"I made my reservation online and provided a credit card to hold the room, but when I checked in, I clearly told the front desk associate that I wanted to pay in cash at checkout. She was very kind and assured me she would note it in my reservation and that paying cash in the morning would not be an issue. Unfortunately, my experience the next morning was completely different. The front desk clerk on duty was immediately rude and dismissive. When I explained that I wanted to pay in cash, she told me that the payment had already been processed overnight and that there was nothing she could do. I calmly explained the conversation I had the night before, but she refused to help and would not even contact a manager, stating it was Saturday and she wouldn’t call anyone. I remained respectful throughout the interaction and stepped outside to contact corporate and file a formal complaint. Before leaving, I decided to give it one more try. When I went back inside, there was a manager present. She was professional and helpful, processed a refund to my credit card, and allowed me to pay in cash as originally requested. However, the initial employee continued to be unprofessional and even told me I should have handled it the night before—which I had attempted to do—and then went as far as telling me not to return or stay at this hotel again. "Stains all over the place in the room, crusty stuff of chair and couch. Pull out bed from couch had stains on the mattress. Carpet was sticky and the toilet backed after just being flushed with no solids. The breakfast was mediocre at best, but you get it for free."
