Fall fun in Oxford Hills
Experience this 2BR/2BA retreat, perfect for couples and small families of 6! Nestled among nature, this hillside getaway offers privacy, modern comforts, and a peaceful ambiance. Enjoy hiking trails, lakes, and small-town shopping and dining. Unwind by the fireplace/ fire pit, relax on the deck, or explore the great outdoors. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure or relaxation, this hideaway is the perfect home base for your next getaway.
Please note, the home sits atop a small hill, during snow and icy weather the driveway can be challenging to navigate for some vehicles not equipped with all wheel or 4 wheel drive. Although the driveway is regularly maintained with plowing, salt, and sand the weather can be unpredictable at times and the plows need time to make their scheduled passes. This does not make the house inaccessible you will simply have to park at the lower end of the driveway until the plow has made its pass.
The house is equipped with a propane fueled generator that provides heat and electricity to the entire house for any power outage situations that arise due to inclement weather. Fuel is provided and on site at all times, there are simple step by step instructions posted for the generator set up and operation.

We came for the weekend in memory of my father who recently passed away and had visited Paris ME. We did the waterfall trail suggested and enjoyed it greatly. House was well stocked with everything we needed, clean and cozy. Thank you for Sharing your lovely home!
Very well setup and organized property that allowed for maximum leisure time. Location is so close to a variety of wonderful towns and nature activities. Spotless home!
Immaculate, well stocked everything we needed. Beautiful setting for fall colors, hiking and walking. Host was easy to contact and got back immediately.
Great rental house for 6. Property was clean and well maintained, amnesties were what we needed. Self check-in/out process was too easy. Looking forward to revisiting in the future.
Overall the house was probably one of the cleanest short term rentals we have ever stayed in which was amazing! Made us feel right at home when we came to visit family in the area. The host was great and very communicative. The only slight downfall is the steep driveway but had we had an suv we wouldn't have had a problem. Would highly recommend!
We attended my niece wedding ay Kings Hill Inn and stayed at this home in Sumner Maine. We were 15 minutes from the venue. Our rental was perfect! Well stocked. We had everything you could possibly need to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend!!
Overall, we had no issues. House was clean and well supplied. It was a little over a hour from the "touristy" areas to the East, which was further then I would have liked. The trade off is the quiet and lack of traffic by the home at night. Chocolate chip cookies at Tildens store are a must have.
First of all, this was the cleanest rental property that I've ever been in. All furniture, fixtures, appeared to be brand new. The location itself was perfect for a peaceful fall getaway, plenty of solitude but just a few minutes away from an everything-you-could-want store at Tilton's (try the ground bacon burger and their cookies). Not too far from more food options in Norway. We loved the open layout, the two distinct living areas, two self-contained floors with bedrooms and bathrooms, and of course the fireplace. We would love to return.
Very clean, private cabin. Host has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Mini disc golf setup was a nice surprise. Saw turkeys several days. Would definitely stay here again
Very nice cabin in the woods, quiet and very relaxing. Host is very easy to communicate with and answers questions quickly. We really enjoyed the well stocked amenities. The coffee and water provided was a nice perk. Highly recommend this location! The downside is not getting to stay longer.... Life gets in the way and we had to get back to work. We would definitely stay here again, it's just that good!
Great spot to relax. The house is in a quiet area and had everything we needed to just enjoy ourselves.Could enjoy the 4th of July without large crowds.
This was the most comfortable and immaculate lodging we have ever stayed in, including any hotel! The house is so well equipped and had everything we needed. We hated to leave but hopefully will return next summer. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Maine home with us!
This place would be wonderful anytime of year, however with the fireplace, nice views, and warm blanket and overall vibe, this was perfect for a family visit for a winter wedding. Great advance communication, great signage throughout the house. Ample space and a cute fireplace.Didn’t realize until just before we left there’s a great local store for provisions right down the road. Note: keurig machine but no traditional coffee pot if that matters to you. Great chef’s stove
We were very please with the accommodations…..just as pictured. Home was very clean, updated and well stocked with all the essentials. Snow fell on the our first night so our kids had a great time sledding in the yard and going down the driveway. As mentioned in the posting, the driveway is steep so you do need AWD in wintry weather. We had to park at the bottom of driveway which wasn’t a big deal as there is a spot. Our only suggestion is to have more of a seating area, like a loveseat with rug and coffee table in the fireplace room. It is such a great room and gets cozy with fireplace on. We highly recommend this place.
We were looking for a place to stay as we were attending a wedding in Hartford. Very peaceful and just the right amount of space to relax. I will refer friends and family are f they are looking to get away for some relaxation near Portland and the mountains…. Thanks again.
We found this property location perfect for our friend's wedding. Not knowing much about the area coming from out of state, it was pretty easy to get around and we enjoyed the secluded property.
Brian helped with check in details and communication was easy.
We did notice some housekeeping items like the shower downstairs not being clean and the Keurig was on the fritz but otherwise it was a good value for the weekend.
We took friends to Maine and we stayed in this beautiful home. It was nice to be away from the cities and towns. The house had everything we needed. We used the fire pit one night and it was just so relaxing. We recommend this home. It was perfect.
