    Smith-Sun-Ian is a charming oceanfront home boasting a large sundeck, perfect for lounging and taking in the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. Walk directly from the deck to the beach via your private beach boardwalk! Whip up favorite dishes in the well-equipped kitchen, detailed with a three-seat center island. Then serve meals at the table for four. Watch TV shows or enjoy a movie night in the open living room. A bonus sitting room, as well as a third bathroom, are located on the lower level (there are no interior stairs connecting the levels). Extra perks include central heating and air conditioning, TVs in all the bedrooms, and a washer/dryer.

Perfect family home

This house was very clean.The beds were quite comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed for a meal, the location was very near several restaurants for those of us who like someone else to do the cooking. Thank you so much for sharing your home. We had an awesome vacation!

Classic beach cottage

This cottage has a great layout and is very convenient to restaurants and bridge. The only negative was the mold. Cabinets in the kitchen and vents were covered in mold. It really needs a good thorough cleanse.

We love it on Holden Beach. So awesome to be right on the beach! No turtles nests nearby this year but otherwise, an awesome trip!!

Excellent location, ample essentials

We loved how close the home was to everything! We were surprised to find so many essentials like dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, towels and linens.

My family and I just returned from a week at Holden Beach in this house. We had a wonderful time, and the location was perfect. There were six of us in the house, and the fit was comfortable. I especially enjoyed the easy check-in and check-out. We will definitely consider returning next year.

We loved this house. It was a great location will wonderful views being ocean front. Even with a public beach access beside the home it was a great experience and plenty of privacy. The house had everything we needed from dish soap to all the towels and beddings. We will be going back for many years to come.

Excellent house with great view

This house has a great layout and views of the beach. We spent most of our time on the large deck! We did not use the basement room, but it would be a great place for older kids to hang out. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have ever had in a rental. Amazing.

Decent little house would recommend for 4 people and not do much 6. Very close to beach, restaurants, coffee shop, and Italian ice shop. Enjoyed the porch a lot. It was cluttered….needs a good cleaning out of excess stuff from closets, drawers, and cupboards. No where to put away groceries so we cleared space in the hutch to put food into. Even though pics show futon and couches downstairs where washer/dryer is located, it is musty smelling so not a usable space if anyone would think there was from pictures. The bathrooms are very small, and the one has the tiniest sink ever in the corner.

Great Deck and Location

We just got back from a week stay and we would absolutely book here again. The location is perfect and convenient to the restaurants on the island. The deck is fantastic and is essentially where we spent all our time when not on the beach. The house was well equipped with cookware, linens, etc.. The only negative was that the beds were pretty uncomfortable, but that is me nitpicking. All in all for an original HB house this place is great and we’re currently in looks to rent again next year.

Great Location !

Very nice location and comfortable home. Only concerns were the air conditioning unit in the lower bedroom, and once in the main unit. Both problems were immediately addressed and fixed. Would come back again!

Peaceful getaway

Loved our stay! Large deck with partial covered roofline allows enjoyment of the breeze and gorgeous view without the sun when you need a break while others can bask in the sun on the deck all day. When it rained got to stretch out on the couch outside enjoying it all. Very clean, nice luxury vinyl flooring in main area. Nice Leather couch so no worries about hidden yuk as I had my 8 month granddaughter with me all over the floor and couch :). Had high chair and playpen. Master room with comfy bed. Didn’t cook but had plenty of supplies to do so if you choose. Would recommend, has cozy atmosphere with all the comforts of home.

We didn’t stay and left

The fridge (food in it) and kitchen floor were dirty and my wife needed to keep her medicine in the fridge. There were insect problems. We didn’t stay and left. Management was fine, but the property was not to our standards. Mattress pad was dirty.

Upon initial check-in the house was very clean and nice. While settling in, we noticed that the threshold screws had rusted and were lifting causing risk for trips or cuts so we duct tape them down for the week. The front (and only) door was very hard to open and close from either being warped or overly painted. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for the week but we bought plastic storage containers and left them for the next guests. We did not use the wooden patio furniture, or the picnic table bench. There was an end table already in pieces and the frame of the rest seemed sketchy. We bought 4 camping chairs and left for the next guests as well. The location was good and easily accessible from the bridge without a long wait on and off the island.

Awful

I have been coming to Holden Beach for over 15 years. This is simply the worst house I have ever stayed at in Holden. The pictures were sorely non-representative of the actual home. The HVAC return grates were disgustingly dirty, as well as the output vents. Dirt was caked on the ceilings from the airflow of the AC unit. Water damage has been sustained on the ceilings, and none of this was pictured. The kitchen was haphazardly put together, with no organization. The microwave was duct taped. Additionally, the kitchen held the normal worn out kitchen items, including a refrigerator that appears to be rusting on the outside of the door. Curtains in one of the bedrooms was dirty, along with some kind of mystery stains on them. The threshold from the “master” bath had tape on it, holding down something or covering over something, whatever it was. The shower handle on the spigot was falling off. The carpet was dirty, and it seemed to crunch under foot. Not sure if it was just old or housed layers of crumbs and dirt. One bedroom didn’t have functional heating and air, and instead a box fan had been set up to help cool the room. My wife killed a cockroach in the home and the outside of the home facing the beach was overrun with more cockroaches. My wife ended up with them in her drink after a few short minutes outside. Additionally, all outdoor furniture was old and dirty. Do not stay here, it’s awful.
