First, the positives: Peg was wonderful to work with. She was very accommodating, allowed us an early check-in, and even approved two of our dogs to come at the last minute (although we ultimately didn’t bring them). The included golf cart was a huge bonus and made getting around incredibly convenient. The beds were comfortable, the living room was spacious, and there was plenty of outdoor space with both front and back patios. It’s also great to find a pet-friendly rental. As for the negatives, there were several soft spots in the flooring throughout the house, and the entire home felt like it was leaning noticeably to the right. It appeared that one side of the house may have originally been a camper that was later incorporated into the home. When you adjusted the knobs in the smaller shower, the entire shower wall would move. The back door knobs were also loose. While the house appeared tidy and had been swept before our arrival, the floors did not seem to have been mopped. We had a crawling baby with us, and she became dirty very quickly whenever she was on the floor. One additional note- and at no fault to the owner, on our last night, a feral cat must have gotten under the house and sprayed because the entire house spelt like cat pee. Overall, the golf cart, comfortable accommodations, and Peg’s hospitality were definite highlights, but the condition of the floors and layout concerns kept this from being a higher-rated stay.
