Oceanfront 2 Bdrm Unit

One of many reasons to love Surfside Beach is that there are no high rise buildings to detract from the delightful "beach village" experience. A downside is that not many of the condo buildings have elevators, stairs to a second or third floor unit can get strenuous with luggage and groceries. Surfwatch II is a great small complex that has an elevator, and carts to making unloading so much easier. The third floor is "just right", just high enough for a great view with quiet and privacy.

Enjoy a real beach vacation feeling from the spacious third floor balcony. Relax inside the comfortably furnished living room after full vacation days. The kitchen has full size appliances, spacious granite countertops for lots of food preparation space, with a full complement of pots, pans, appliances, dishes and utensils. There is a washer and dryer in a laundry room just inside the front door.

The master bedroom has a door to the balcony, a brand new King size bed (April 2021), flat screen TV, plenty of storage space and a full bathroom. The second bedroom has twin beds and a TV. The sofa folds out to a queen size bed.

Surfwatch II has a swimming pool just off the beach. There are plenty of lounge chairs, it won't be crowded with only 20 units in the complex. There is also a barbecue grill and picnic table. There are two parking places per condo at Surfwatch II. The warm golden sand of Surfside Beach is a short stroll from the pool deck.

Surfside Beach is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer, along with over 100 golf courses. The Surfside Beach pier, restaurants and shops are a few blocks south from Surfwatch II. Water slides and amusement parks that kids love are right out on business 17. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. The Murrells Inlet "Restaurant Row" is the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina", it's a few minutes south. Just a short drive north are all the attractions, dining, shopping and nightlife of Myrtle Beach; Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, amusement parks, and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it's just a few minutes south.

I would definitely recommend this condo. Spacious, clean and you cannot beat the location and view. Pool area well maintained. Elevator a huge plus. Grocery store minutes away and plenty of restaurants. If you are looking for a laid back location that is a 10 minute drive from the more bustling Myrtle Beach this is your place.

This property is perfect for a quiet weekend at the beach. Walking out the back of the property, you step into the sand and Surfside beach is one of the best for walking / running or just sitting. The building is quiet and the patio looks out over the beach and the Atlantic. I will be back.

Property was clean, nice, and had nearly everything that could be needed (exception was only one single frying pan). Has elevator (that worked flawlessly!), which is very convenient for the 3rd floor, and parking out of the elements for smaller vehicles. Very nicely kept grounds that are not usually seen on beachfronts. Easy, close access to plenty of businesses (dining, grocery, etc).

We rented this property because of the location. Being away from the hustle and bustle of myrtle beach but also being right on the beach. During the day the beach wasn't over crowded which I loved and getting up every morning drinking my coffee, watching the sunrise, and listening to the ocean was everything I imagined it would be. The only downside was I had to leave. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great location, nice beach. Elevator a plus. Unit itself was run down, needs updating. Mattresses in twin room are hard and uncomfortable. Fan in that room only works on high with light on. TV in main room small, no option for Netflix, etc. Would recommend not buying furniture with microfiber, holds dirt, arms of recliners were grimy. Condo was just OK. Great places nearby in Murrell’s Inket for great seafood. Great pizza at Pizza Hyena.

Check in - was never notified when room was ready. Swimming pool - was a hassle to have to wear wrist bands even though was never checked and everyone else were not wearing them. Loud obnoxious families in it all the time. Room - clean rooms, kid friendly, new flooring made it easy to clean sand up. Full kitchen with dishes. Washer and dryer worked good. Could here all sounds from room upstairs(kids running and jumping and heavy walkers) and balconies outside master bedroom. Complex - Loud and marijuana smell every night that could be smelled all over our unit. Notified rental company and was told there was nothing that could be done except we could pick up an air purifier for one room.

Our stay at Surfwatch II was wonderful!! The condo was very clean and inviting when we arrived. There is lots of room, with comfortable furniture and nice TVs. We prepared most of our meals in the condo, and it was easy to do since all the appliances, dishes, and utensils that we could possibly need were provided. The beds were comfortable so we slept great. We especially enjoyed that the bedrooms and bathrooms were separated from the rest of the living space by a little hallway. It made those areas quieter and more private. The view from the balcony was amazing, and the beach was awesome. This beach seemed very family oriented, and we felt safe at all times. The elevator was great and was essential for our family since we have some mobility issues. There was ample parking, and we had no trouble getting a parking space at any time. Also, since the parking is right next to the beach access, it was very handy to be able to keep the beach gear in the car instead of getting the condo sandy. Checking in and out was easy to do, and the iTrip office is not far from the condo. We loved our stay and hope to return.

Condo was filthy upon are arrival and housekeeping arrived after are check in time. Condo is badly in need of updating and most surfaces are in various stages if disrepair. The bath tub floor was in particular need of attention and possibly unsanitary. The unit does supply a duel cassette deck so feel free to bring your old Duran Duran tapes. On a positive note, the pool at this building is very nice and access to the beach is fantastic. The building has a elevator but a family did get stuck between floors for a couple hours during our stay. Do yourself a favor and give your money to an owner or rental company that takes pride in their product or service.

This property has seal falling off sliding door, and door broke a couple people nails because it is so hard to get to open at times. The freezer didnt work when we got there. My sister had to fix. There is mold on kitchen where it also leaked. The was a continuous leak, where we had to keep a bowl to catch drips in living room out of vent, because of humidity coming in from sliding door. If the owner would do some repairs this would be an amazing place. We even had to change filter in laundry room bc it was beyond dirty.

Arrived on Sunday. Check in was fine. On Monday morning we realized that our internet was not working. Called guest relations and they sent maintenance out. Ray was wonderful fixed the internet and then found out the the fan light in the living room was broken and their was a leak The kitchen ceiling he called some one to look at that. The next day around 8 two guys showed up and proceeded to cut a 6x5 inch hole in the ceiling found the leak and left. Ray was their putting up new fans for about 4 hours. That is the beginning of what is wrong. The carpet in bedrooms were filthy with a big black spot behind the master door. Mixed matched lightbulbs in the bathrooms The patio table was so bad it has to be covered to eat on or just play Cards. I have been staying in rented condos for years and never felt the need to give a review until now the condo needs to be taken off the market and redone. These are things that the cleaning people can’t possibly clean they did a good job with what they have to work with. Oh and the refrigerator stayed at around 41,42° just below I’m keeping our milk from spoiling. I sent this message to guest relations on Thursday to let them know and got a call back.
