Coveside - 3 bed 2 bath Oceanview in Surry, Maine near Acadia Natl Park

Beautiful vacation property in Surry, Maine overlooking the ocean on Patten Bay with elevated views from a large deck. Enjoy your morning coffee watching seals, eagles, and deer along with natures other wonders on 4 private, wooded acres with 335' of ocean frontage. The house offers first floor living with two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed and another with twin beds, on the first floor. There is a pak-n-play available for a child. On the first floor is a laundry center with a washer/dryer and a full bath. Upstairs is a sizable master suite with king sized bed with full bath and sitting area. Open concept living with lots of light. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar includes dishwasher and microwave and a separate dining room that seats 8.

There is a game room with a foosball table and card table along with games and puzzles in a finished basement room, creating another private area to work or play. All linens/towels, basic pantry items and starter paper products are supplied. Internet with Wi-Fi and HULU TV are available.

This property is conveniently located near the Village of Surry, and it is 15 miles from shopping and restaurants in Ellsworth or Blue Hill and 30 miles (about 45 minutes) from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Need a lobster? Perry's Lobster Shack is just a few miles down Newbury Neck where you will find Maine's treat fresh off the boat! Lovely Carrying Place Beach is also just a few miles away on the Union Bay with incredible views of Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain.

For the comfort of all our guests, this is a non-smoking vacation rental and pets are not accepted.

Please note it is a steep, narrow path for access to the oceanfront on the property. Now taking reservations for next season.

Coveside is located in a quiet neighborhood and is a very comfortable home. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals during our stay. The house is clean and well maintained. Coveside is close to Perry’s Lobster Co. and Pugnuts Ice Cream Shop, both are excellent! The house is also close to Acadia National Park which we enjoyed as well. We would love to return to Coveside!

Amazing stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Coveside! The property was gorgeous. We enjoyed mornings on the porch and walks down to the water. It was an easy drive into Ellsworth, Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor. The host was very helpful and communicative at all times. Highly recommend, we will be back!

Perfect Maine Getaway

Cheri was responsive and allowed us to check in early after driving overnight to get here, which was so appreciated. The property is gorgeous and the private beach/pathway felt so serene. Very clean inside, perfect amount of space for a small or large group. Easy to find & close to all things Acadia. Highly recommend this stay!

Another great stay !!

This was our second time visiting Coveside and it is just as we remembered! The house and property are beautiful. The place was spotless when we checked in and everything is so comfortable and well laid out. We had fantastic weather and spent a lot of time on the deck admiring the view. Cheri is a great host and Coveside is definitely a keeper!

Our first time to Maine and Coveside was perfect for our family Beautiful setting. Comfortable accommodations and a very well equipped kitchen With 2 towns within 7 miles and a lobster shack down the road, we were set! Acadia and Bar Harbor being about a 40 minute drive Can recommend this property

Coveside Home

This home had everything we needed to make our family vacation great! Close to Bar Harbor and "touristy" shopping, close to wonderful hikes, but far enough away to enjoy some quiet time sitting on the deck with beautiful views! Lots of games; accessories for young children and toddlers; and the layout was perfect. Kitchen was well stocked. Highly recommend!

Family of 6 adults stayed for a week. So comfortable, so easy. About a 45 minute ride to Acadia. Town of Ellsworth had any supplies we needed (or didn’t!). Our own private paradise. Book it!

Wonderful location

Our stay at The Cove was just what we wanted. The house was very clean and well stocked- my grandson especially liked the Foosball table in the downstairs game room! Loved going into Bar Harbor and walking the trails in Acadia National Park- about a 35 minute drive. But we also loved the town of Ellsworth which is just 10 minutes away. We spent 3 different days there. Be sure to do the candlepin bowling at D'Amanda's! You'll love the house and the location.

Perfect Reunion

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coveside. Our host responded to all of my questions quickly and was very flexible with some guest changes we needed to make. Coveside was spotless, spacious and had many nice decor touches. An eagle was perched in the trees near the cove to greet us when we arrived and to say farewell on the morning we left! An easy and scenic drive to Acadia National Park but Coveside is lovely all on its own.

Fabulous find!

Everything about our stay was wonderful! We loved the location, and the views--especially at the bottom of the two trails down to the water. The house itself was so clean and welcoming--and even had a fun welcome giftbag that was provided. The kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms were all generous in size, delightful in feel, especially the upstairs accommodations where we felt pampered! We enjoyed using the game room with provided games, and ate our breakfasts out on the balcony. Delightful!

This cottage was lovely! The back deck overlooks the woods down to the water! Every potential need or desire was accounted for from beach towels and chairs to a first aid kit to all the kitchen essentials, extra bath towels, and lobster utensils! The home was immaculate and so thoughtfully designed and decorated! We fell in love with Maine - largely due to this lovely location! We are already planning a trip for next year!

This is a beautiful home in a serene setting. Extremely well maintained and clean. Check-in was super easy and communication was excellent! This home has all the amenities you could possibly need. Very comfortable and convenient

Very well layed out and accommodating Convenient to all we wanted to do while in Maine. At first I was concerned because there was no AC window unit as described. But it was very cool for mid June and with the fans was quite comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful.
