Recharge Your Soul @ our Secluded Lake House

Relax in front of the fireplace or fire pit with the whole family at our little slice of heaven secluded 2 bedroom lake cottage that sleeps 4. House is located at Butler Lake which is 75 acres / 30’ deep non power boat. There’s 200’ of lake front and a private dock w/ row boat and canoe. Lake has great fishing and ice fishing in the winter. Best part about it is the wildlife. See Bald eagles flying during the day with beavers and ducks jumping in the water, and at night you can hear owls hoot away and numerous frog calls (hence the name of the house the Lily Pad!) Elk ski Mt is 15 min away and nature hiking/biking trails are nearby as well. Plenty of games are provided to make this a memorable vacation.
The space:
Bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds and comfy furniture everywhere (the most comfortable couch you ever laid on). Lakeside bedroom has a queen bed and French doors which both open to the deck overlooking the lake. The front side of the house bedroom also has a queen bed and also a futon. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need with all cookware, microwave and oven, toaster and blender for your drinks! The living room has a very comfy couch and two recliner chairs in front of the gas fireplace and there’s also a swing hammock chair that is very comfy in the living room. There’s also 3 French doors in which the polls open fully to the covered deck overlooking the lake and fire pit area. The deck is by far the best area in the house. There is no cable but the TV has HDMI ports and a fire stick and snart TV so you can use all my streaming services that are already logged in. There’s high-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi as well if you wish to mirror your device wuth the tv. There’s also an Alexa. If you want to get away from Wi-Fi and the Internet and TV there’s plenty of boardgames to have fun. (it’s what we do when we get away from it all enjoy the time with our family).
The best part of the house and thee most raved about part of the house from all our reviews is our huge covered composite deck! Its 40’x15’ and is the best part of the house overlooking the lake. There’s Adirondack chairs and picnic tables for lounging. There is also a barbecue which you can use either charcoal or propane. The fire pit is great to relax around or take the wiener sticks and roast a hotdog over the fire. We also have a cooking great that goes over the fire and cast-iron skillet and pot if you wish to cook over the fire with them. We have firewood there which is based on a honor system at a dollar apiece. Also we provide 2 canoes and a 10’ rowboat which can easily be loaded into all of our private dock. There’s plenty of fish in the lake and they always bite! The neighbors across the lake put out a floating dock for swimming. It’s fun to jump off it and the lake is pretty deep on that side.
The D&H trail is nearby which is perfect for walking, riding bikes and is mainly paved and there is the O&W trail which is permitted to ride motorized vehicles. I take my side-by-side to the Lakewood lodge where you can park, eat, drink and get passes to ride the beautiful trails. Please see my guidebook on this site where I’ve added these locations and places to go, eat, drink and shop.

Please note during times of Covid we chose for our guests to bring their own linens (we supply comforters and pillows). This may be an inconvenience but we feel it’s more sanitary for everybody. We will be able to lower the cleaning fee in return as well. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to shoot me a message. We live nearby and run a professional property management company as well. We are superhosts rated and have another listing as well, a beach house in Puerto Rico you need to try. Its very reasonable to rent and fly there. Ask me for details. The house manual will have all instructions regarding the property so please review that before packing up.
Guest access
There’s parking directly in front of the house with a little decline and four steps to walk to the front door. You have access to the entire house and the grounds with full use of the boats and dock. Only thing with limits is the shed which has our personal items.
Other things to note
Please note during times of Covid we chose for our guests to bring their own linens. This may be an inconvenience but we feel it’s more sanitary for everybody. We will be able to lower the cleaning fee in return as well.
We chose to not have a washer and dryer on site since the home has a holding tank which is common living at lakeside. the most comfortable couch you ever laid on)
