"This is a charming little hotel - a bit offbeat, artsy, welcoming and in a wonderful location. Sabine, the proprietress, couldn't have been more helpful with recommendations and dinner reservations. While not a full service hotel (ie, no restaurant, lobby or 24-hour reception desk) it was perfect as a homey stay for a few nights in the heart of town."

The staff (who are also the owners) were incredibly helpful and friendly, taking the time to show us on the map the best walks in Avignon, their restaurant recommendations and shopping areas. "Es ist ein wunderschönes Haus mit sehr freundlichem und zuvorkommendem Gastgebern. Ein frühes Check In war kein Problem und wir haben als Familie ein wirklich tolles Zimmer mit zwei separaten Schlafräumen bekommen. Der Pool ist und die Liegen sind perfekt für die warmen Sonnentag. Und dank dem süssen Hund Mao ist man nie alleine. :-) Das Frühstück im schönen Garten war sehr lecker! Wir waren nur für 1 Tag dort auf der Durchreise, würden aber jederzeit wieder kommen und auch länger bleiben!"

"What can I say... The location was fabulous, the accommodation was wonderful and most of all Valere was the perfect host - so friendly and helpful! He has paid so much attention to detail which results in his guests having the perfect stay. The only down side was that we only had one night there on our roadtrip but we will definitely be back for a holiday based at Mas Julien! Thank you Valere - Kate and Mick "

"An absolutely perfect stay, Chateau du Martinet is exactly the place for which we had hoped: a gorgeous rustic building, charming grounds, and a friendly team of people that went out of their way to ensure all of our needs were met. The hotel is pet friendly, and two very friendly little dogs greeted us upon our arrival. The driveway is a bit oblique to the main road and we missed it the first time by. But that is no problem because it is worth the drive. I look forward to staying here again. ...
